My orchid, despite the previous odds of orchid survival under my care – has made it ๐ And came back to bloom this year. But upon the first bud opening, little ghost orchid looks really sad ๐๐ป and the second one angry ๐ฌ

Such a pretty flower that seems to go by many names. Love-in-the-mist and ragged lady I guess you could think ok, strange naming but ok. But Devil in the bush, not sure how that one transpired. Hoping to have more of these growing this year.

This white spotted rose beetle was abundant in Spain, furry little beetles dozily flying around and bumping into things. Plenty of opportunity for photos ๐

More of Spring showing itself in the garden. First two are from this year and a second two from last year too, it’s such a pretty flower. I used to think they were unopened bluebells when I was growing up, took me years to work out they were a completely different flower!

A framed print is available for the muscari with yellow primula in the back and also available on the full range of redbubble products ๐

Turns out I have captured a number of different shield bugs on my photographing expeditions. Here is the black stripped one.

This wonderful insect flew into the garden a couple of years ago and settled on my then growing green beans plant and sticks. And sat there for a little while, enough time to get my camera and take photos! I always feel lucky when nature visit, but extra lucky when it lets me take pictures ๐

The garden has been a bit sparse of late, but as Spring starts to come through and the sun hits more of the garden, things are stirring. This little spider was sat still on the wall clutching his kill, a rare moment where I can take my time and try and get a good shot. Hampered slightly by my garden planter being in the way!

But still I tried to get underneath as best I could to get a shot of the front eyes.

Then a little while after, he was scampering across the wall and stopped for me. I like to think he remembered the photo shoot and wanted another one ๐

A beautiful flower.

This little fella managed to come in on the underside of the dogs outside water bowl. Almost not noticed and washed down the sink he was so small! But I saw him and grabbed a strawberry leaf to help move him back outside to safety.

We are lucky to have fly them over the garden quite often, so I get to take my time and try and get a good shot. Occasionally I do ๐
