Love the poem but found the line spacing took the emphasis away from the lines ; which you would think would have the opposite effect

I tend to paste as ‘plain text’ and put it into a paragraph, maybe that might work for you ? In my first posts , I was getting all kinds of weird stuff going on, but I’m no expert ! Good luck ..
