Getting hurt by words

I’m sure many have noticed we appear to be living in a time where the phrase

‘Words are literally violence’

has entered the scene. And many laugh at it, as well they should. I’m from the not so far away time of

‘Sticks and stones may break by bones, but words will never hurt me’

so it’s quite a turnaround. And being honest, not a very good one. I believed and still do, that it’s meant for character building, preparing you for people in life, and to thicken your skin as the saying goes. Being able to take insults, or being laughed at is a life skill I thought.

But it’s a fine balance really isn’t it, and one that takes years to get right. We have all felt bad at some point because of others, either what they have said or what they have done. I believe you should listen to what people are saying and understand it, then have to decide what you take on board and what you discard, then move on. But many people are so self-absorbed, and thinking about what the words mean to them, I feel they overlook an important lesson and get stuck in the ‘poor me’ aspect. The lesson being, it usually says an awful lot about the person saying them, and sometimes, when you get to root of the why, it’s often nothing to do with you, so is a complete waste of your time to let it affect you. It’s their own anger, confusion or possibly just meaness coming through and being directed at someone else. A very sure way to deflect from their own feeling and failings.

I’ve had all sorts of insults in my time, and because I look at things logically, I usually analyse what they said, how it made me feel (if it did), then review it to understand if what they said is really what they meant. (People have a habit of not actually saying what they mean) And if they did mean it, where did it come from. That way, if I am at fault, I can usually see it, and will happily own up to said behaviour once recognised and apologise if necessarily or take action to correct it. But if it is their problem, I will definitely point it out to them.

So, how did we get to the stage where people think they are being physically attacked when they hear words that seem to shake them to their very core? Is it a lack of emotional maturity that means they can’t process what is happening, so a tantrum or meltdown may occur as with a toddler? It also could be a general lack of awareness and lack of basic communication skills. People don’t seem to understand that if you aren’t very good at communicating or lack vocabulary, you cannot explain how you feel properly to someone else. That could be quite isolating and frustrating, so you find any way you know how to get interaction and attention on whatever level is on offer. Even if that is a completely dysfunctional level.

Is it possible that there is a middle ground to be found, and that perhaps the extremes are being pushed in society because it does cause a divide of communication (left and right, red and blue, us and them etc), and means we have more difficulty explaining and expressing ourselves to each other and being understood. Which in turn leads to higher frusrations and wilder emotions, which can then cause outbursts and what we would call a failure to communicate. The people who think they are being punched with words do need to toughen up, that is for sure. Some cold harsh truths would do some people some good, and a bit of time to think them over without running to others for input before they have even given it thought themselves.

Others opinions and ideas can have a very big impact on what would otherwise have been your decisions, so make sure before you seek advice or feedback on things, you know whether you actally need advice or not. It’s very easy to panic or get overwhelmed and think you need someone elses input on something, but you don’t always know if the other person is either equipped to give said advice on that matter, or may not have your best interests at heart with the advice they give. Finding someone who is impartial and logical isn’t easy these days, if it ever was. Once you add feelings into that, it gets even more complicated. So try and be truthful to yourself and others, and know you can’t control how someone is going to feel about it thereafter, but don’t be unneccessarily mean, there is just no need for it. As we all know, the truth can hurt all by itself…

A need for people… (poetry)

A need for people

Who are most bold

To wade on through

The ones controlled

Who follow blindly

A fake narrative

Giving up freedom

And a want to live

Because this web

That they have weaved

Needed us all

To be deceived

It’s time and thought

They want to steal

So change the goalposts

Of what is real

It’s been playing out

For quite an age

The foundations were laid

For the grandest stage

To take what we are

And what came before

Making us humans

Just merely folklore

There’s Nothing Great About It

It seems the current situation has indeed been misnamed. And I am loathe to use the term, but need to for the purpose of this article. The Great Reset (nicely renamed The Great Resist, which is a much better vision), but the reset, seems to be for the benefit of a few under the guise of ‘for your safety’ and ‘for the greater good’ – two sayings which should not be trusted at all. You should understand personally for your safety and should also know when it’s for the greater good yourself, not because someone else has decided it. Because it is their idea of good they are working towards, there is no collective greater good currently. It would require enough living space, freedom and advancement emotionally from a great number of people for us to achieve a greater good. So I don’t focus on that now, there is no time, and it’s just as much of an illusion as everything else.

Back to the word great. Because it has been so firmly affixed to a plan as named above, I gave it thought. Was it just to try and be grandiose and claim its great in advance, thereby trying to create said greatness by invoking it? Or is it a calling card, a trail and marker? I decided to cover others and speculate on the significance. Why were certain things named as such for a purpose, rather than for what they were? Once you see the list, you might work out where this is going.

The Great Fire of London – 1666 (oh look, a bit of symbolism there with the date), but anyway, a rather convenient fire it turns out for a London reset it seems.

The Great Depression – 1929 – 1933 officially as the worst bit (again a special number), but says it went through to the late 30’s. This seems to have been another financial reset and displacement of people.

The Great Flood – A bit further back, and no specific date on this one as it is a biblical reference, and funnily enough, throughout most ancient civilisations and legends around the world. They all have a ‘flood story’. So make of that what you will, but as we have referenced it as Great, I suspect it is relevant. And if you subscribe to the crater theory, then you may understand why it’s important.

The Great Plague – 1665-1666 (There it is again) – seems like London was having a crappy time of it back then, just before the fire neatly sorted out loads of issues, they had a plague outbreak as well. You would think the larger, previous outbreak would have been named as such, but no, they went with the last and smallest outbreak being named The Great Plague of London.

Great Britain – apparently termed in 1603 by King James I of England (you know, the one who declared witchcraft and burned all those ‘witches’), it makes me wonder why this place is named as such. Because we are a very small island to have been a huge ‘great’ empire, so I have questions on that.

The Great Famine (1845-1852) Nothing great about it at all, but they cleared out lots of people, starved lots more and obviously got what they wanted from that. Like people say, if you control the food, you control the people. On the face of it growing up, I believed it was a potato problem and people either left or starved. I hadn’t realised it was more complex and that the crown continued to have food sent out of Ireland over the mainland, thereby ensuring they starved. If history and current events teach you anything that you understand and know to be real, is that people and authority can be unbelievably cruel.

I’ll keep thinking on these as they are a work in progress, and may be just another part of history that in fact is exactly as they say, and there is nothing to see here. But maybe not…

It’s Simply Unrealistic

That line could apply to so much right now, but I’m going to focus on the cost of living, as that really does appear to be a serious pressing issue that is being forced through. It’s coming to boiling point with the stupid, idiotic and downright childish policies that have been hurried into place. Almost as if they think if they keep chucking stuff at people, they will be so busy scrabbling around to find their feet, they won’t notice. It needs everybody to just stop for a moment. To really think and then act, not react.

It seems, whether this is true or not, that we are meant to have a social contract with the government and councils.

“Council tax is the local tax which helps councils pay for the services they provide“.

Here is one of the taxes we are conditioned that we have to pay, but to me it reads as though they are a business providing a service, and getting reimbursed for it. Why do we then have no say in what the services are, or how they are delivered? Or whether we want to pay for them or not? I’m sure there are many people who would happily pay for their local areas to be maintained, but not by way of the local council first. The amount of wastage at all levels of council and government is shocking, and has been for decades. We all know.

But this last two years has seen catastrophic level of thievery and misappropriation of public funds. To me it is gross misconduct and a breach of the social contract that we have. Making it null and void. But aside from technicalities of law and the fact they write the law to protect themselves and so they can keep their greedy fingers in the pot, there are real people who will face real hardship from their fly by night decisions and laughable ‘leadership’. They care not for the normal everyday folk; they have made that much clear. It’s heart-breaking when you see how much of a pension some people are trying to live on, while at the same time handouts being given left, right and centre to people who have not contributed or worked hard at all sometimes. And in that I mean both people at home and from abroad. We are an island with a limited land mass and resources, being distributed in the most corrupt fashion, it is simply not sustainable or realistic to think it can go on and everything keep going up. Food, taxes, heating, fuel, travel etc. All at a time when we should all have enough, for everyone and to share and help others who may be in need of assistance. Because we see where it goes, we see land and money being hoarded on a level Ebeneezer Scrooge would be proud of. But really, I ask myself why.

Why do they want to make life so hard and terrible for people? Was it not bad enough that we are born into servitude and have to face a life of being herded, directed and dictated to, and pushed to where they want you to be? Now they have to put extra strain on the constantly adapting landscape, because fear and worry have all sorts of consequences, as they, and us, well know. But the extra strain and financial worry they are knowingly heaping on people for what only appears to be profit, is downright cruel. Engineering social issues and benefitting from them for the longest time, yet still managing to blame the people for it. I can only hope that as each day passes and more corruption is exposed, some good and change will come of it.

When Someone Else Saves The Day

We are conditioned for everything it seems, and expecting someone else to save the day is one of them, perhaps. We even have a saying ‘a knight in shining armour’ to save you. I never liked that idea, just sitting around and waiting for a hero to swoop in and save the day, whether it be a knight or a maiden. Of course, we like it in movies, it’s predictable and safe, and usually leads to a happy or at least satisfying ending. But what of those stories and the ones in particular I have selected for my usual rundown.

Robin Hood – I would consider this known by most, so goes top of the list. The classic tale of wrongdoing and justice for the people, in the most peasant revoltish kind of way possible. And they won. So we are told that he was a myth, a legend and these days maybe just a money maker.

William Wallace (Braveheart) – again, we are led to believe there was someone so passionate about their beliefs, countrymen and way of life, they managed to rally an army of followers, but ultimately failed. That’s the kind of hero they want you to see, the one who sacrifices themselves, and still loses.

Boudicca – One of our rare female heroes in history that apparently rose up and fought back, only to then be killed, of course.

Guy Fawkes – Another famous one that has been allowed to persist in its telling and in fact commemorated each year still to this day, the same tale over and over. So close, but they too failed.

Those are all apparently real people (maybe not Robin Hood), from our past on this small Island, but the fact we have stories like that leads me to two conclusions.

a) These people did exist and overthrew what was then in place, but after victory time passed and although their names persisted, the stories could be re-written to show they didn’t win. Couldn’t have the peasants getting above their station and believing in themselves.

b) Or they are part truths or perhaps completely fabricated stories to try to instil in our collective psyche that we will always lose if we fight back. Either conclusion ultimately gives the same result.

So I ask myself, what advantage would that give the programmers? Having a people not believing in their own collective power and what they are capable of could be a handy tool if you wanted to hold people down, and decide what they are allowed to know. Knowledge is power as they say.

There are also a number of films, even though many films have been made of most of the above, and there will be countless others I don’t mention.

Terminator Films (John Conner) – The central character of these films being the one to save the day and bring an end to the turmoil.

Poseidon Adventure (The Preacher) – I have only watched the 1972 film for this, but thought it was great. Someone trying so hard to save people, showing courage in the face of adversity, only to die at the end himself, but he did save some. It wasn’t all for nothing in the end.

And there are other movies, where we are led to believe that there is only one who can save everyone. The One.

The Matrix – Neo

Star Wars – Luke Skywalker

Harry Potter – Harry Potter

Lord of the Rings – Frodo, but Tolkien did a switch there, because Frodo wasn’t the one or the hero after all, he failed, and Sam was the hero, not because he was chosen, but because came through when it was needed most.

But in all those films, they didn’t just do it by themselves, they had friends and something to fight for. And it may sound as corny as the films do sometimes, but love, friendship and what is right in this world is worth fighting for and believing in.

Mass Psychosis or Run Around?

With the suggestion of there being a mass psychosis going on, and talk of why so many people have ended up following the crowd, I decided to give it new thought given the new subject matter now at hand. Both things seem to be part of the same process in my mind, and something mentioned at the beginning of this debacle reminded of it.

A TV show from 70/80’s called Run Around. I vaguely remember it mentioned later, but was more of an 80/90’s kid. Anyway, premise is a group of kids, a question with 3 options for a correct answer and you pick a circle to go in with what you think is the right answer. Timed of course. And predictably people would dither and be swayed by the majority and go with that. Before the time was up, you could switch if you thought you knew better.

The naming is apt here because we have been given the run around, and there was no right answer to be had. Yet they had everyone scrabbling to know something, made it seemed timed, and inevitably people switched sides and second guessed themselves. Well, some people did.

So, is this a case of people being deluded and in a trance from the propaganda and careful planning by the behavioural unit? Or is it just confusion and they picked the wrong circle to stand in. And rather than it being a timer which determines the answer, it’s your own ego and pride that need to decide and can go on for a long time. Here I guess is where the ability to know something is up and admitting it is a really useful skill. But what of the other group, the ones who do know something is up, and actually just don’t care? People may have just been worn down by the ‘modern life’ they have already inflicted on people, who can say for sure, but I may speculate on that one further.

Times Are Changing

There have been two articles around this subject already, discussing what seems to be here and what may be coming our way –

A piece at a time

Monitoring

An overview of things as I have observed them, taking into account small areas of concern which appear to be part of the bigger picture. Of which not everyone seems to be bothered by, but I wonder if they are unable to consider the consequences of where it leads. There is an article around that as well if interested.

Forethought and Consequences

But this one is to speculate on the things that are here now and approaching. The things that have been openly discussed, reported and seem to be coming our way whether we want them or not.

Social credit score system – do as they say or you will be punished

No car ownership – limits your travel options and ability to mobilise

Regulations on heating and food – keep you cold and hungry

End of life care – they get to decide if you are ‘past your prime’ by their standard

Drone surveillance – to watch and restrict what you do and where you go

Digital Currency – so they can monitor your money, and then ultimately control it for you

All of this is being swept in under the initial guise of a ‘pandemic’ and is neatly intertwined with their ‘climate change’ agenda. How convenient. But make no mistake, it is a complete overreach and is beyond anything I genuinely thought I would see in my lifetime. Yet, here we are, witnessing what can only be described as a takeover. Of our lives and our future. An interference on a whole new level that some are unable to fathom, are unwilling to see or worst still, are on board with the new regime.

It appears they are not content with disrupting everyone’s current life, causing issue and instability for families, friends, workplaces and taking over leisure, education, religion, travel and more. They want to go further. It appears to be a very sterile, controlled, joyless environment and society that is on the cards. Minimal contact with others, information only provided by authorised groups, your choices made for you, experiences controlled and restricted as with everything else. How more people aren’t concerned by that is a concern by itself. The reaction has not been proportionate to the event, at all.

Finally though, some people are showing the level of public concern we need to see in an organised and calm way. Canada. Also this shows me very clearly why they might like to take away vehicles from people, or make them electric, or add a kill switch. Very sure way to eliminate anything like this in the future. It does appear to be escalating though as the people in charge are starting to appear anything but calm. As if they are on the clock or something.

We also have a distraction and money maker looming with war being talked about, again. It’s hard to keep up with their created doom sometimes, there has been so much throughout my life already, but manufactured doom isn’t the same as an unforeseen event. We hear much talk of things being reset, and it has made me think of all the other events throughout history. The ones they chose to glorify and put the prefix of Great in front of it. When you start to really look at their version of the past, and how cleverly they fooled everyone into thinking it was true, you can see why they might think the future is in the bag.

As the old saying goes “whoever controls the past, controls the future”, and there are many other sayings, old wives tales and myths that should be reviewed and looked at from a different viewpoint. All is not as it seems.

There’s more to come… (poetry)

There’s more to come

It just won’t rest

We’re two years in

Who could have guessed

They’d still be pushing

Division and hate

To capture your life

So they can dictate

Your wants and thoughts

And how you feel

By confusing and twisting

Just what is real

Rewriting the past

And what is to come

They think it’s sewn up

And we’re all rather dumb

But there is a feeling

And one I can’t shake

That it’s not in the bag

It’s part of the fake

How they try to convince

To make it then so

Hoping we’ll follow

As if we don’t know

Or cannot see

This elaborate ruse

Of which was a cover

So they could abuse

~

But the fightback has begun…

(c) K Wicks

There is a feeling… (poetry)

There is a feeling

And one that’s growing

Of not a belief

But more a knowing

That what was tried

Appears to have failed

What was hoped for

Has been derailed

And in its place

We just can’t shake

Seeing with new eyes

As if now awake

To the smoke and mirrors

And whole charade

As it gathered momentum

They tried so hard

To fill their need

Of mass compliance

Instead I see waves

Of complete defiance

Of logic and reason

Now taking the helm

Before we get lost

In that rather strange realm

It seems they constructed

From darkness and fear

But now it is different

And seems rather clear

~

They don’t get to control where this goes, we do…
