Another lovely December sunrise. I forget to download the photos from my Nikon sometimes and get a pleasant surprise weeks later when I go back through them.

Not a bad start to what turned out to be a sunny day Christmas Day. Cold, but sunny.

The second day of December started with a dark and moody sunrise…

It was a colourful one this morning, brief, but lovely.

Today’s sunrise was a proper treat. I took up painting this weekend and maybe this was natures way of giving me a little inspiration and encouragement. I’ve been doing blending with acrylics and realise nature is far more creative than I will ever be. I shall share some of my painting attempts with you later in the week.

These all happened within the space of 15 minutes.

Definitely a lovely way to start the day.

It just got better and better.

I got to see some magnificent sunrises in Spain and this is one of them. Unfiltered and as it was from the impressive beginning to the wonderful end captured by my Nikon. I was transfixed.

They may have been meeting up for a morning natter, they may not have. I like to think they were and enjoying the sunrise like me.

It was a slow burner this morning, but streaky and colourful enough for me to grab the camera. A morning pigeon stopped for a silhouetted pose. Thanks pigeon.

Today’s brief bit of early sunrise today led me believe it would be a good one. But this is all there was before the grey moved in.
Still lovely though.

Within 10 minutes, it was gone.

I love sunrise and today I was up at the right time to catch it. Not one to usually want to remember anniversaries of things, but today marks 17 years since my mother passed away. She loved pink, so maybe this one was for her 🙂
These changed within about 5-10 minutes from pink to purple to looking like the sky has become a volcano. A nice way to start the say.
