We’ve had some beautiful sunsets and sunrises this winter, and some of them I have even managed to catch. A walk in the Gloucestershire countryside.

It looked like it was going to be a good sunrise then stopped. I had thought it wouldn’t turn into anything, I was wrong.

Was a rather lovely sunrise a week before Christmas, streaky pink and purple clouds to start off the day…

We have been treated to some rather spectacular clouds at sunrise over the month of December, and sometimes I have even looked out of the window at the right time. This one was full of pinks and purples to kick off the day…

This morning I was up a bit earlier than I would have liked, but the sunrise made it worth it.

I enjoy mornings. My brain works best first thing and you get to see the day start, not always the best here in the UK. Today was a chilly treat though, it may have only been about 15 minutes of colour but enough for a capture or two.

It was indeed a treat of a sunrise today. Starting off with oranges and pinks, I did my usual of quietly heading back upstairs to hang out of the upstairs window at an awkward angle (the people who fitted these windows did it with no concern for where the sun would rise or set!). I get the best shot I can but to be fair, nature did all the work.
