They say we were in… (poetry)

They say we were in

A perilous phase

So much information

It turned to a haze

But very quickly

It started to show

They all got a script

Received a memo

To hoodwink us all

And take full control

Not giving a care

Of the cost or the toll

With twirling nurses

All put in a trance

Graveyard like hospitals

The scene for a dance

As each day passes

It does not bode well

We must find a way

To break this cast spell

Our lives may just depend on it

The strangest days… (poetry)

The strangest days

In which we exist

With instinct telling us

We must resist

Because my friends

It would appear

That those who rule

Want to through fear

But all my thoughts

Say resist we must

And be very careful

Just what to trust

We’re being pushed

Into a new age

With unknown forces

Setting the stage

Desperately now

With lie after lie

Trying to make us

Give up and comply

With their dastardly plan

It feels that it… (poetry)

It feels that it

Is getting more tense

As growing numbers

Seem to see sense

While it appears

We still have choice

You really should

Employ your voice

What’s going on

One can’t define

But all I can say

Is hold the line

There are those

Who admit defeat

They now step back

And will retreat

Because there’s more

To this sinister fight

It’s about our futures

And what is right

With propaganda

We’ve been saturated

And through big lies

Manipulated

But to what end?

While we work… (poetry)

While we work

Through all the stress

It may just seem

That it’s hopeless

Cornered in

They try to make

The truth appear

From something fake

Planting seeds

Of what comes next

Then lay the words

And the context

Within your mind

It does then stir

And not long after

Seems to occur

Because you knew

Well in advance

It helped to keep

You in their trance

Waiting to see

When they will give

The people back

A chance to live

But some won’t wait…

What they’ve done… (poetry)

What they’ve done

Is pure betrayal

And will now lead

To the biggest fail

While being inept

They did presume

And lacked the presence

To read the room

Because my friends

What’s happened here

Is more than just

Control through fear

They’re being told

Just what to do

To crush the lives

Of me and you

Because if data

And truth did lead

This great debacle

We wouldn’t need

Yet still we continue

The pantomime

But what we’re losing

Is more than time

It is our freedom

We’re told to try… (poetry)

We’re told to try

And do what we can

But the shit has really

Hit the fan

We’re in this together

A big fat lie

They swan around

And still deny

They haven’t got

A fucking clue

Of what is truth

Or what to do

The wildest claims

But no evidence

Shall have the direst

Consequence

A fallen nation

With no foe to see

Instead ground down

By tyranny

How is it that… (poetry)

How is it that

We came to be

Living within

A calamity

Of epic proportion

A delusion grand

It’s really a struggle

To understand

Quite how it is

Here we’ve arrived

Stuck in a plot

That’s so contrived

With no escape

Or end in sight

As it all crumbles

To just sit tight

And let the ones

Who led us here

Continue to reign

With lies and fear

Is that really the new normal?

How can a year… (poetry)

How can a year

Feel so long

The strangest one

That’s gone so wrong

Whatever plans

We thought we had

It started good

Then went to bad

So much delayed

And put on hold

Dreams and lives

Are now controlled

It’s hard to swallow

And really accept

The ones who lead us

Are blindly inept

And at their whim

Ourselves we find

While in this play

We’re all entwined

To whatever end

Rhyme and Reason

Never before… (poetry)

Never before

Did I see

That all of us

Collectively

Have been held down

Our lives disrupted

By the powers that be

Who are corrupted

It’s not for our safety

Or our health

But just to add

A little more wealth

To their growing

Money pot

Stripping the rest

They want the lot

By taking down

The average folk

I guess to them

We’re just a joke

For wanting a life

And security

To them we’re just

Opportunity

To offer us more debt…
