A Future Gone… (poetry)

A future gone

That once there was

They stole it all

And just because

They want to own

Your heart and soul

And to obtain

Complete control

But can the people

Really rise

And see the truth

In all the lies

Use those thoughts

To really see

What they have planned

For you and me

Once there is… (poetry)

Once there is

A loss of hope

It can get strained

And hard to cope

These dark times

In which we find

Ourselves, and what

Thoughts are in mind

But I think of what

Is yet to pass

While all I see

Is a growing farce

I would like a bit of sensible.

At this time… (poetry)

At this time

It can be hard

Seeing the need

To be on guard

Making you feel

Lost and confused

It’s by design

You’re being abused

While they scrabble

For more control

Reality

It takes its toll

What next they’ll do

I can’t quite tell

But every day

Brings fresh new hell

How could we predict… (poetry)

How could we predict

And really know

That we’d be in

Such a shit show

It seems to have gone

From bad to worse

It feels unreal

And quite perverse

Now we’re told

These are the rules

Treating us like

We’re children or fools

There is another agenda at play…

It’s very strange… (poetry)

It’s very strange

Where we are

What has rolled out

It’s gone too far

Manipulated

We all have been

The lies they’ve told

Are just obscene

But here we are

Now in this mess

Surrounded by weird

And untold stress

Fingers crossed

We find a path

And minimise

The aftermath

What came before… (poetry)

What came before

Is now the past

Something new

Is unfolding fast

Keeping up

As best I can

So many twists

Since it all began

Shutting down

Your liberty

Believe what we say

Not what you see

Think for yourself

While you still can

And question what

May seem like a plan
