Gen Z

You hear talk of the categories the last few generations have been put into, boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and now Gen Z. In fact, people seem to happily put themselves into the categories sometimes, finding it gives them a sense of being in a certain ‘time’ perhaps, or a generation they can identify with, discussed briefly in A lost generation. But I can’t help wonder about it from other angles, in my usual way.

A wild theory was put out there recently, that that they have added a third strand to the standard double helix structure of the human make-up, and was speculated upon in the grand scheme of symbolising ceremonies that was made public. So, have they added to X and Y, to bring Z into our composition?

Generation Zombie. Suddenly, the idea of Gen Z not sounding so cool. And maybe it isn’t the zombie apocalypse we thought it would be, where they become the real undead and want for brains (although ironically that does still kind of fit). Instead, they become the drug addicted half dead, wanting more of the chemicals and entertainment being dispensed and drip fed to them from above. Or perhaps it is the other original meaning, a will-less and speechless human, as is said in Voodoo folklore and fictional works. Not quite so yet, because although ‘free speech’ may be under attack in the online forum, there is no shortage of people who have something to say, on both sides, myself included. And for now, technology permits us to be able to share, save and reproduce those words, thoughts and ideas on various mediums almost instantaneously. But are we really talking from a place of ‘free speech’ anyway? There are those who say we lack free will already, so whose words and ideas are we talking here? Have they been planted within us through various forms? My articles Films, real life twisted or just fantasy? and Planting the seeds, look at that a bit and I have also written a few on the zombie topic before – The zombie thing, Zombies perhaps and Not quite in control, if you are interested in further ones on that.

But it does seem that something is changing, with people, society and what we know as being human. Changing into what exactly? touched upon it, but as it continues and they talk of putting chips in our brains, assisted suicide, a virtual metaverse, smart cities and various other changes to what we are and how we live, it’s no wonder many people aren’t happy. Because those things do not ultimately benefit the masses, and is not meant for the betterment of the ‘little people’, it’s for the entrapment and containment of them, in the most efficient and hassle free way, for them. And while I point out the difference between us and them, I am aware that they wouldn’t be them, unless they were allowed to become so. We know certain things are bad and line corporations’ pockets, but we do it anyway. We eat the sugar laden foods, we drink the fizzy pop, we take the medications – like good little Eloi.

Because while the book The Time Machine looked at the far future, and how things had become split between the Morlocks and the Eloi, who were just being bred and fed, for the ultimate purpose of being food. I realised maybe that’s where we are now, and it’s not in the future at all, that’s where the story tricked us. It is now, and the Morlocks work hard with their underground world to make everything appear as they need it, so that the above ground Eloi will just go about their daily lives, laughing, eating, not worrying about a thing until they are told to. Hypnotised by the siren when it is their time to step forward. Sound kind of familiar? Maybe it’s just me that sees it that way…

Moving People Around

I’m going to talk about people movement again, specifically the people that seem to be coming over in droves according to the news. Same in the US actually, with their southern border being a major crossing point, with hundreds crossing each day, as with us over here on this much smaller landmass, the UK. And although we are surrounded by water, it makes no difference as boats are sent to help and rescue people making their way over. It’s been a great way to divide people, firstly by encouraging people to leave their home, by whatever method, then they have split the populations of where they are arriving, as not all see it as a genuine endeavour. And that’s what I will look at here, despite having written articles on this already in Hotel California, or Hotel Strategy? And On the ground, because really, being honest, most people don’t just up and leave en masse unless there is a reason. Either where they are isn’t ideal anymore, or somewhere else is better. And now factor into that, deliberately orchestrated events to force that movement, or lies to make out ‘over there’ sounds better than it is, because maybe where they are is rich in something they don’t know about, like minerals, oil, gold, water, all sorts of things that are of value to the commercial world. It’s horrible to realise how many people have been displaced deliberately, for no good reason other than profits and power, and still continue to be.

Refugee = a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.

This was and is the definition currently for refugee, and for many, it fits. Because the wars and destabilisation over the decades have been many, not just internally, they have been interfered with from afar, but in an up close and personal way. Military bases all over the world, most of them for the US, but the UK does alright there too, and other countries are moving in on that. But not on the whole, it seems quite obvious who the troublemakers are, the bullies who just can’t leave everyone alone to get on, they have to be involved and pulling the strings.

And although in the last few years the Archbishop of Canterbury has thrown his worshippers under the bus, and sided with a tyrannical government on things, I actually agree with his one of his recent tweets, in which he states that

“When we fail to challenge the rhetoric that refugees are the cause of this country’s ills – that they are problems not people, or invaders to be tackled and deterred – we deny the essential value and dignity of fellow human beings.”

And he is right mostly, but no-one wants to really talk about what is the cause of this country’s ills. Just saying what they aren’t is all well and good, but to then completely skip over what they are is foolish in my opinion. Because while there is claim to be looking at the new arrivals as people and fellow human beings, how can you possible be looking at them with compassion and like that when you are putting them into a slowly boiling pot. I have suspected for a while that they are being used as pawns as we are, and will be dropped like a stone when the time comes, just like we have. So, we are all in the same boat (pardon the pun), but not everyone seems to know there is a massive leak, and they are just going to keep putting more people in the boat until you all drown, they care not for any of us, whether we are from here, or aboard. And I don’t entirely agree with him dismissing the idea that some of these people arriving, do bring problems with them, or are a problem, just as we have here already. Being from somewhere else doesn’t make you any less human, but with that comes all the attributes of humans, the good and the bad. And from what we have seen so far from the mainly male ‘refugees’ in large numbers put in hotels, there appears to be a steady increase of harassment towards women and young girls, and intimidating behaviour going on. Because that is what happens when you have droves of young people, dossing around kicking their heels, and getting handouts. People have been moaning about it for years about people here having that treatment, so why is it a surprise, in the middle of a massive financial and governmental crisis, that people might question, what the hell is going on. Why is our money, of which we are told there is none, being used to house, feed, cloth and set up people who have just arrived, when clearly ignoring your local population? In fact, not just ignoring, but actively going out of your way to take more off them, and to hurt and destroy areas of your local population while doing it. Would seem weird if a man was out with his wife, and for no reason, he just started to ignore her, refused to pay for her meal, or to get her home, and then just started treating a stranger to full slap-up meal and fawning all over them. You would think he was being super disrespectful and somewhat of an arse, wouldn’t you? Or would you have a go at the wife for saying something and being hurt and treated that way? Saying she was out of order for not putting the strangers or her husbands feelings before hers.

And this is where the part of the problem lies, being told to put others before yourself, to the detriment of yourself is taking it too far. There is a time for compassion, and to show empathy to your fellow human being, but, and I stress the but here, not at the cost of you, yours and what is right for you. Because in the blink of an eye, you suddenly become them. And they do say, most people are only one pay cheque away from being homeless, just look at America to see what’s happening, on a bigger scale in their cities. Zombie like drug addicts standing around like buckled statues, tents everywhere, rubbish, boarded up broken shops. Remnants of what used to be normal and nice. They opened the door to everything, and we let it in. I don’t mean people, I mean vice, and temptation, and ego. Gave it all a place, platform and position in society, making that more important and taking your attention away from what really should be important. I’ll go back to the main definition too here – for a refugee to be so, they need to be escaping war, persecution, or natural disaster. Now, war and natural disaster would appear to be quite cut and dry, but it’s the middle one that seems to be the main ticket at the moment. Although, let’s be honest, there have been plenty of war like situations created as well as economic disasters and famines. So, it’s not hard to see how and why there is a genuine need for some people, and mostly those people don’t want to leave their home, they just don’t have one anymore and are being forced out through strategic economic and political reasons. That is not the same as thousands of people, just appearing to jump ship from their own country, to someone else’s.

Persecution = hostility and ill-treatment, especially on the basis of ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation or political beliefs.

So, what is defined as hostility is this instance? Because our own government appears to be treating lots of its own people in a hostile way, based on either ethnicity, sexual orientation and political beliefs. They should add medical beliefs to that now too, as we are entering a new era of things to persecute people for, rather than protect them against. Because while all these people are being moved around, uprooted, and are being redefined themselves, they are finding new ways and things to divide people up with, as well as utilising the good old-fashioned prejudices we hold anyway. I understand the problem, countries that are not at war or in distress, seem to have an awful lot of people ‘jumping ship’ as I mentioned above, which leads me to question that, as others are. Why? Is there something better being offered to them over here? Looks pretty shit at the moment and for the near future in the UK for business and the economy, so why would people want to still come here? Ah, yes, the freebies and handouts. If we weren’t giving people accommodation and living expenses and promises of more, would they still come? If it was only opportunity to earn a living and find your own way on offer, would we still get the numbers? Because many say, and I think the same, if you come here and want to work and get stuck in, then by all means, join in. No matter your colour or place of origin, it’s the mentality that matters. Because we have the same attitude towards ‘our own’ and have been moaning about ‘benefit scroungers’ for near on 30 years at least, even when the economy was doing vaguely ok. Because it’s really obvious that if you just keep giving handouts, and don’t let people get on, they will become dependent. Voila, the point of it. They will become dependent.

Children are usually looked after because they can’t look after themselves (and because it’s the parent’s responsibility), but we call them dependents. Duly looking to their parent for guidance, emotional support, financial and educational support. Then they grow up, and go off into the world to do that for themselves. But if they can’t, are unable, or won’t, then the natural progression doesn’t go where it should. I get the feeling that we, and the new arrivals, are supposed to be part of the strange new ‘parent world’ they want to have, where we are all treated like children, and made to be their dependents. Like some sick fetish the government has of wanting everyone to be like squabbling children, then they can intervene, ‘punish’ us, or put weird rules in place to ‘see what happens’. Like a really odd controlling parent or teacher might do, because it gives them the power, being able to ‘tell you off’ or ‘put you in your place’, which is what seems to be occurring here. And I have to keep wondering, as many do, at what point does someone in a position of power actually stand up and do something about it?

Atlantis? No, That Would Be Silly…

I couldn’t help seeing a similarity, in an artist’s rendering of Atlantis based on Plato’s description, the only surviving one we have so we go with it, as will I for this. But as you know, it’s supposed to be a set of concentric circles or rings of land, with ocean or waters in between. There have been searches for it, books written about, and careers dedicated to it, but as yet, we are still waiting to discover its location. And that is where I wondered if we were thinking too small, trying to find it within a landmass, or area of ocean. I’ll move now to the idea of Antarctica, because it will tie in to the overall explanation, and I am talking about the earth not being a globe as we know it, instead going with the idea of a much bigger globe earth, the crater theory and our realm actually being flat and round surrounded by a giant ice wall and covered by a dome firmament.

Based on that premise, I decided that humans as we know them could be Atlanteans, who were known for their warlike behaviour, and perhaps were exiled from being part of the bigger earth, and ‘dropped’ down into a great ice hole filled with water, which then became the Atlantic Ocean. We then had to go about creating maps or Atlas’s to navigate our way out, hence all the operation high-jump, deep freeze and so on. And ‘other planets’ they talk of visiting could be other craters within our crater, or ‘just over there’ land masses, rather than ‘up there’. But it is said that there are other lands beyond what we have been told, that there are maps within the international organisations that show these other lands and resources, and the mystery of the Antarctic treaty is one that baffles many.

I do believe the water and ice distribution has changed over time, and if the level has risen and fallen possibly too, we could have the wild variations we have on maps from throughout the centuries, which they laugh off as made up, or wrong. I have another article underway along that theme about islands, so will go into that more in that one, An island, or was it? But the idea that the land masses we know of and the world we have been told is being questioned, and rightly so, as there have been many things they deceived people on, and kept from them, so why not? Makes me think of the saying ‘the world just got much smaller’, and we think that is to do with technology making everyone seem closer. Or was it? Could it have been when they shut off certain other areas, or relabelled them. Changing names, locations, ideas, moving people around, changing the history and making it easy to eliminate from common knowledge, that which you don’t want people to know anymore. And the purpose is? touched upon that slightly. But to me, it made sense when it came to borders, land, maps, ownership and slavery of people. All people, in varying degrees of it from ‘elite’ corporate slavery, to the harsh and brutal conditions felt by some who are used for more manual and back-breaking tasks. If we knew there was more, and better over there, wouldn’t we try and find it? Wouldn’t the curious, brave and adventurous amongst us be exploring that? Oh no, we can’t, because we’ve been told it’s all been discovered, nothing to see here. And if there is, they put up restriction, borders and barriers to keep us all in our fishbowl. Because a fish doesn’t know there is a massive lake over there when he is in a tank, or know there is an ocean over there when he is in a lake. And while we are encouraged to focus on ‘out there’ as a concept of space, again conveniently set up so that only the super-rich, famous and connected get to do it, we aren’t looking over there. And that’s the purpose it serves in my mind, my other article Flat, or round? looked at the age old argument that has been resurrected about is it a globe earth or flat earth, and that is the case in point. Many people get stuck arguing about flat or round, and want to be right so it becomes a battle. I prefer to look at what is gained from people thinking one or the other, and what the possibilities are for both scenarios.

So, we know they lie to people, they control people and they dictate the information you receive and are taught to ‘view the world’ with, so why is it so hard for some people to accept the idea that they really could have lied about that too. Because whether it is flat or round, your feet are still on the floor, and it doesn’t change your physical position at all. But it really does change how you think, or at least should, and then knowing that such a large pattern of lies could be constructed and enforced can also be shocking to people, so they can’t or won’t accept it. And that applies to many things, not just this debate, but any where there is any large-scale deception going on, but that’s ok, because we have a couple of words to make sure we stop any of that nonsense dead in its tracks haven’t we? Conspiracy Theorist. But I wonder how many people even look at the meaning of those words. Conspiracy = a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful. Theorist = not yet proven. So, I’m not really sure why some people think that is a slur, or an insult to throw those words at people, when clearly it means they have thought through what appears to be an unfolding plot. Maybe it’s easier for people to accept who don’t or can’t think things through on certain subjects, if others don’t either. Same with detectives I guess, sometimes they see a bit more than others, or can piece together what others didn’t, so many TV shows and fictional characters portray this, and people love them. Not so much when it happens in real life though it seems, unless it’s for a cut and dry murder case, but someone revealing the whole set up to be a lie? Seems that is a hardy no thanks…

Not Quite In Control

I saw a post about people lining up for a number of jabs in very short succession, for various illnesses they now seem to have cures for by way of constant injections. Although lots of people keep getting sick, so are they really cures? This is one of the burning questions going around the block at the moment. Some would rather ignore it and pretend there is nothing to question, which makes me think they either don’t understand what is going on, or aren’t able to formulate a comprehensive discussion, argument or opposing opinion they can back up.

But what seems to be of note to people, is how strange it is that many seem to be repeatedly handing themselves over to constant medical procedures, on the say so of a faceless corporation, with no personal risk assessments being done at all. Even just to look at what the ingredients are of all those medications, and how it may affect your system, or not, or if the drugs react with each other, or not. Crazy that many people don’t even think of these things, despite the fact we have had pharmaceuticals around for so long, people seem to have thrown caution to the wind and gone with blind trust. We’ll see how that works out in the end if that is the case.

It dawned on me though, that maybe that isn’t entirely the case. That it again serves a purpose for them for us to just write off the ‘sheep’ who appear to be handing themselves over for sacrifice. Predicting perhaps that we will leave some behind thinking they will ‘hold us back’, and they did it to themselves anyway, justifying why it’s ok to leave them. But what if, it wasn’t entirely of their own free will, and they weren’t just willingly handing themselves over for a life of control. I thought of the cuckoo wasp again, and of other species, ones that use parasites to achieve their goal. It’s not pretty to watch, but there are insects that infect their host, get into their nervous system and start to control them. They call them zombie insects, because the insect appears to be going about its daily life, mostly normal on the outside and going through the motions. But it’s being forced to perform those duties, hosting the parasite via an insect, often by way of a certain wasp or fungi.

If you watch any of the insect videos of it, it’s quite hideous, but got me thinking. Not by accident of course, we have movies such as invasion of the body snatchers, and many a storyline about us being a ‘host’ for something. Not like us speculated on that idea a bit. But what if they had been infected with something, which makes them line up, marching towards doom with intent. Because they are not themselves anymore, in that instance. Controlled by something else which will lead to your demise, so it can thrive. So, whether it’s a mental or physical affliction, who can say for sure. And whether it’s just for control or monetary gain, who can say for sure. But many people can feel a dark undercurrent beneath the very sinister overcurrent, and as I always say, all options are being considered here…

Ghost Cities

This isn’t about haunted cities, despite the title. And a wonderful film, Spirited Away, would be one to watch if you like ghost cities in the paranormal context. But this is about real cities. Well, I say real cities, because that’s what they look like on the face of it. My starting point for this was finding about huge uninhabited cities that were built in China, and never used. Seeing vast towns and cities across places like Russia, Japan, and the Middle East. They looked like the future, all of those places.

And when you look around the world, there is a lot of abandoned ones. For various reasons apparently, financial collapses, disasters, a change in times and fortunes. Ancient and modern alike, apparently we are prone to the same predisposition for grandeur, opulence and wastefulness. But of these cities dotted around the world, I sometimes thought they looked like they might have been used as movie sets, and thought no more about it. Until certain propaganda videos started making their way over from China at the start of the pandemic. I grew up not knowing much about that place, understanding it was shut off from the rest of the world for hundreds of years from 1434, apparently opening back up in 1979. Although if you start to look at ‘history’ it can be confusing, as the silk road carried on until 1453, and there were a couple of ‘opium wars’ in between as well. So, although shut off, kind of still trading and doing business here and there when it suits, so just the population in general shut off then?

Back to the propaganda videos, the start of which was people just ‘dropping like flies’ in the streets. Used by the media over here to whip people into a terrified frenzy as best they could. To enforce the idea that there is something in the air that you can’t see, that could kill you. The air, something that you have to have, and is all around you. Very clever I thought, having given much though already to fear, its uses and why people would want to use it against someone or for an advantage. Taking something routine and everyday you can’t avoid and putting fear around it, as I talked about in my article Don’t fall asleep.

But the idea of cities with no people, sat around just waiting for a purpose didn’t go away. Then I thought about how easy it would be to have that city full when needed, of either actors, or unsuspecting people who think it’s a normal city like any other, because they know no other. Truman Show esque style. It is not out of the realm of possibility that they would have that type of thing at their disposal, public opinion and Consumerism seems to be extremely important to them, and having control over it them. And through the means of psychology (the depth approach), technology and marketing and propaganda, they have worked out exactly what they need to do, to get the desired results. And if it looks like they won’t get them with everyone, they will cheat, and make it ‘look like’ they did. Even now, we have well placed, strategic ‘leaked’ videos, showing what they want you to see. Every. Damn. Time. And even some of what have been deemed as false flag events, these get confused by some thinking they are faked events, whereas my understanding is that are not faked at all. They are orchestrated, and appear as a massacre by a lone individual or small group on a mission, or with such a deep cause within them it compels them to act. So, often the casualties would have to be real, the location real, the perpetrator real. But you can switch any of those for one to be conveniently placed, or faked, or manipulated to carry out such acts or react to them. They can fake entire lives on the screen, so if you haven’t met these people, you will never know for sure. And there used to be a time where it would be said, don’t believe what they say, believe what you see.

Well, that isn’t quite as it used to be anymore with technology, graphics, drones, CGI, robotics and animatronics, so much can be manipulated. The patents held for other intrusive technologies are also concerning, and ones they delight over. Of being able to ‘get inside your head’ and further down the lines, they want to put chips directly into your brain system, so they can literally be in your thoughts. Studying them, scanning them, deciding them ultimately. Sounds more than creepy doesn’t it, and it is. Like an obsessed entity that cannot deal with individualism, that wants to assimilate you into their central processing centre, so you can be a drone for them, feeding them your subconscious thoughts, while they feed you whatever they want to. And then it becomes a self-sustaining cycle, a co-dependency of sorts, but not a healthy one. Makes me think of The Borg in Star Trek, and of The Strangers in Dark City, covered a bit in my article The Hive. We are a visual creature, and although attached to an animal, we use a saying for humans as well, ‘Monkey see, monkey do’, and it’s not hard to see the route of it.

We learn well by observing others, usually. Picking up useful things throughout our life, watching to see how it’s done, then trying it ourselves. Which has served us well, but it’s quite possible that it is now being used against us for purposes of control. We are shown what is ‘happening to people’ if they disobey, or step out of line, just as they did here too during the propaganda drive. Showing you people being excessively fined, or in distress in the hospitals, being stopped from doing normal things and living. And in my mind that achieved two things at once, killing two birds with one stone as they saying goes. It instantly causes a divide, because some people would have taken the instant fear route, and wanted to avoid any scrutiny and indeed the threatened ‘punishment’, while others realised the stupidity of it and the dangerous slippery slope it would lead to, also knowing the ‘punishments’ were just the old carrot and stick methods. I’ll try and bribe you with carrot, then hit you with the stick kind of thing. Psychological warfare with an overtone of brutality, which is exactly what they have created with the strategic timing of video ‘leaks’, articles, daily press conferences, death stats and all sorts of other continuous tactics they used. Nudge, Nudge and The three d’s of conversion under coercion covered those too. They have thrown everything at this, they really have. Which is why I do think it’s not too outrageous to believe that there could be towns and cities, built for purpose and used as such, just not the purpose we might have thought they were for…

And a reading of the article too, if you would prefer to listen instead…

Self-Preservation

It seems that some may have started to realise the magnitude of how deep and sinister this last few years has been. The ones who side-stepped the Russian roulette game must have had a self-preservation instinct which switched on pretty quickly if not right away. To protect your own safety and rights. Others however missed that, and chose instead not only to relinquish their own safety under the guise of health, they also chose to vilify those who didn’t. In some cases, in a very aggressive, abusive and grotesque way, especially as it was done hiding behind the mask (literally) of compassion. That word became laughable in the end, with one sentence they say they want to save people, and with the next they wanted people dead for what they perceived as a lack of respect. And, that’s all it was, perceived. These were not facts, but feelings.

And now we see that some do have a self-preservation drive after all, but one to try and save their reputation or career. To distance themselves from being held accountable for being such an integral part of the hateful and ugly side that showed. Articles and public words now asking for an amnesty on the backlash, people wanting to shy away from their words and actions of the past, however nasty they were, and move on. And I get it, in any other situation I would agree, but only if that person had really understood what it meant. To be that mean and cruel in what appeared to be a crisis, cannot be forgotten, because it changes how people view you thereafter. I did an article called Perceptions of self around how people view themselves and others, and do understand that time and events can change people. But that works both ways. Many are not who they were two years ago, and have seen a side to others that maybe we suspected was there, but once witnessed you can’t go back. And it would appear they still aren’t using compassion, because what they request is at their convenience. As if to say, hurry along now, there isn’t time for you feel wronged, I need to set things right. Therefore, creating another wrong, but some people really are only thinking of themselves and working to their own clock.

So, like I said, I get it. Some want to ‘cover their own arse’ as the saying goes. To get in some damage control and ‘smooth things over’. But accountability is needed here, for so much and so many and still those things continue. The economy is still being trashed and asphyxiated, politicians are still playing with our lives, and still, they vaguely threaten new variants and continue crushing peoples livelihoods and futures. There is no moving forward until it is understood how it all plays its part, and if you can be so easily bought or swayed with the promise of a doughnut or being seen as teachers pet, we all suffer.

The view of media, celebrities, politicians and any high-profile person who endorsed and represented this debacle seems to have changed for many people. Trust in authority is wearing thin, and of people who claim to be able to predict things by way of modelling. The ‘experts’ who also seem to get it so wrong, and hide behind their mask of unaccountability too. It’s maddening, and deeply disappointing. But it’s where we are. Still at the mercy of petty and whimsical fancies, being pawns in a rather odd and sinister idea being played out in real time. It would be great it everyone could come together and fight all the injustices until they are no more. But I believe that time has come and gone my friend…

Down The Rabbit Hole

Not so much metaphorically, but literally. As Alice did, into another world. Although the term can also be quite apt as a metaphor, if you ever find yourself tumbling into a ‘new world’ you didn’t realise was there.

Alice in wonderland – I found it interesting when it was said that where she went was actually called Underland. And there are so many strange and quirky things to unpick in that film and entire story, it really is a topsy turvy world.

The Gate – a weird film about a chasm opening in a residential garden, and demons and various evils come out, intimating that there are things underground that just need to find the right opening, by way of ritual in that film, to come through.

The descent – A very creepy film, but the idea that there are creatures, even humanoid ones living beneath our feet but without being ‘civilised’ or structured as we know it, was a dark portrayal of what lurks beneath.

Tunnel systems – huge amounts of them have been discovered under the whole of Europe, stretching from Scotland all the way to Turkey, not all joined up they say but a vast network. And as we know, many other countries and continents appear to have lots going on underground.

Underground cities – I’ll mention the two above places again for this one too, as Edinburgh has a huge underground city from previous generations they say, where they build over it to create the new city. Burying the old below ground but it still functioned for a long time, just hidden from general view. And Turkey, having an incredible example of an underground city and series of tunnels. Called Derinkuyu, it is 85m below the surface and is made up of 18 levels. All hand dug apparently in the rock, and could support a massive population. Quite mysterious.

Giant Crystal cave – In Mexico a few years ago they discovered a cave while mining around 300m down, full of giant crystals, it’s quite an awesome sight to be honest. But definitely made me think of the film, Journey to the centre of the Earth as they too encountered a crystal cave, but way before this one was discovered. Or did they know? Must have just been a lucky guess.

Land of Oz – It seems the author thought of Oz as a real place, and not as somewhere fictional. He talked of it in meticulous detail and apparently sought to end the series of books at number 6, where it turns out Oz was sealed off from the outside world. For his publishers, they were dismayed, it was increasingly popular as a story and they insisted he write more, which they say he obliged and wrote around 20 stories of Oz. With the reigns then being taken up after his death by others who went onto write up to 50! I had no idea. But when the film studio got hold of it, they turned it into a dream sequence, alluding to it being a place, but only in Dorothy’s head. The film sequel did quite well to undo that, by making out it was in her head, and in the asylum, it transpires it was real after all. Very clever.

Stranger things – Quite an odd series, and the point of interest for me was the idea of being able to open another dimension that runs alongside us, underneath us, in the Upside Down. Giving it a way to seep through and merge with this reality, not even noticed by some.

I also covered a few mysterious occurrences in my previous article Appearing from Nowhere, which also mentions a cave leading to another world. And I have speculated on other things related to underground activities, but of a more horrifying, rather than fantastical nature in my article One thing leads to another, but whatever is down there, it seems to be well hidden from us. Unless you choose to venture as many have before, down the rabbit hole…

More Like Us Than We Would Like

Vampires, but this time, a bit more as you know them. Literature and films have done much to make us aware of them, what they are and how they are apparently above us in the ‘food chain’ and what their ‘habits and weaknesses’ are. My previous article They are vampires, but not as you know it speculated on them being energy harvesters, rather than the old fashioned portrayal, but that is where it begins, with the old fashioned view.

Dracula – the book as I haven’t seen the film, but same premise I believe. An ancient blood drinking evil in the form of a human, mingling amongst its food and being hunted when its true nature is revealed.

There are also many stories and legends around Europe about vampires and blood drinking demons, with the above being centred about Transylvania in Romania.

The Lost Boys – A modern take on them, bringing them into now and making them cool and trendy.

Blade – Another one with an ultra-modern overtone, with trendy clothes, music, fast-paced and violent. Definitely catering to a market, and slightly different maybe as that one came from the comic book world.

Near Dark – an interesting, back road vampire story. Of how they can just drift along through society, not really standing out as long as you blend in.

From Dusk til Dawn – not what I was expecting at all as a film, but gave more of a demonic inhuman makeup to the vampire that other movies hadn’t really. The exterior flesh reflecting the monster within once exposed.

Interview with a vampire – a good representation of how an immortal could slip through the ages, changing with the times and showing only what was needed to get by. Then being the only one to go into the future knowing others are long since dead.

Twilight – haven’t seen it, but the way it was talked about and fawned over online, made me think it was just another new trendy version for the next generation.

And really, isn’t that the fountain of youth? The key to being immortal. They always say that whoever found the fountain of youth, would quite probably keep it to themselves, not wanting to share that kind of power. But what if that fountain also needed to be maintained, with a steady stream of young blood? You wouldn’t want everyone knowing about it, because you would face problems on a few points, firstly you wouldn’t be able to decide who will be there with you when everyone else is gone. And secondly, you wouldn’t want too many immortals, otherwise there may not be enough to ‘feed’ to the fountain. Which places us as their food source.

Suddenly sounds very similar to rituals we are told were performed in certain ancient civilisations, blood-letting, bathing in blood, sacrifices and mass graves. The killing of their own, apparently. Which may well have happened, as they say, just as an appeasement to god, or whatever they believed it was for. But what if those graves were the ‘leftovers and rubbish’ just as we say when we find old pits from previous times. How would you know years later if they had been drained of blood?

If it is an elixir though, then adrenochrome makes more sense, and why it’s taken from the young by the old. They might just not look that old if they are rejuvenating themselves. Saying it’s surgery or just disappearing from public view if it starts to become too obvious. Remember that film Death Becomes Her, with the potion? Well, they never really specify what it is or where it comes from.

How we use blood within society from a medical perspective, could easily have another world harvesting and controlling certain blood for another purpose running alongside it, might almost go unnoticed. There have been many things revealed lately about the true horrors that we live around, not safely tucked away in films you can just switch off, or a book you put down and walk away from, even if they do give us hints at what really is there. But existing alongside us nonetheless, where we can’t just turn it off or walk away. Many things have taken rather a demonic turn, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to give some thought to why that is…

Something to Consider

The coverage of ‘The Rape of Britain’ as its been dubbed, is gaining momentum. Focusing on the victims, the perpetrators and the establishments lack of action, or in some cases, direct faciliation of the abuse.

But I can’t help thinking I don’t see much about what is being done to warn, protect and educate children and young people about these dangers, and if anything the people who could, seem to have been trying to hide it. Because although these dark hearted people are about, and that we can’t always change, they don’t need to have access to a constant supply of unaware or unknowing victims now do they?

This is not a new problem, and not just a foreign one as some people think, it’s a people problem and one that all of society shares. All sorts of people, mainly men from all walks of life, are part of the problem and one that has been ingrained for generations in some cases. And obviously is not just limited to the UK. We have seen the recent case and sentencing in the Epstein/Maxwell case, notable again for the lack of convictions by any of the main perpetrators. Convenient deaths and cover ups, happens a lot it seems in that murky seedy underbelly which is now not so much under, but mainstream current. Here in the UK as well. There have been a number of crusaders, for want of a better word, who have tried shouting from the rooftops, have tried due process and following the system to try and right the wrongs. After an apparently ‘thorough investigation’ though which had the plug pulled on it, they cannot seem to determine who actually shut down this extensive police operation running years ago. Instead, it has been allowed to grow, fester and mutate in something really quite ugly. Alongside other organised crime, of which there seems to be plenty, from the top down. This country seems like a giant prison/racket.

Every day now there are articles from around the UK, and from all over Europe about violent sexual crimes against women and girls, and although I know these happen in the respective countries anyway, the shocking leap in numbers is somewhat catastrophic. Sweden has an absolutely horrific set of statistics, showing the systematic destruction of their way of life, culture, country, laws and sense of peace that used to reside there.

And the worst part is, we know why. Because the culture and mentality that is being allowed in to flood the existing culture and mentality, is not compatible. A medieval mindset is making its presense felt. But how are you meant to recognise it? If someone is saying all the right things, and appears to be westernised, how do you know? People lie and dupe others all the time, for financial, emotional, political and sexual gain. But this is so much more sinister, it’s a prostitution racket under the guise of a religious practice. Now, don’t get me wrong, there is a huge problem with how women are viewed by religions, all of them, but this is the one that is knocking on our door right now, so is the point of discussion. The imported Muslim attitude that has appeared in droves, daily onto our shores. Organised crime on a level we can only imagine to get them in, then a huge set up going on once they get here, where all the official departments have their hands in the pie.

I know we had an issue before this recent influx, of separated schools, minimal integration for some, cultural differences making a divide that seems unfixable. Again, that goes for many religions, it’s all kept very separate and ‘stick to your own’ kind of thing. And I also know that you shouldn’t tarnish everyone with the same brush, but there appears to be a very sinister plot unfolding, which is using the hostilities and suspicion to stoke fear and further the divide. Because in a normal world, it wouldn’t matter what colour you were, or religion, or what background you were from, if you do terrible things to children, you should be punished. But with the new wave, there have been new, daily reports of attempted kidnappings, children being followed, approached, harrassed, assaulted on buses, filmed while out with friends, and so on. The list is horrendous of what they are dealing with on a constant basis. Add to that the online pressures, influences and stresses being shoved down their throat everyday by way of media, schools and government nudge units, I really feel for young people, and for all the children who are now adults, who were totally abandoned to a corrupted system. The violence amongst young people is rising too, I see reports of teenagers beating up teenagers, turf wars, higher depression and suicide they say, more self-harm and psychiatric problems. All when you are trying to find yourself and a way through this world, you can’t, because the world just keeps throwing it at you. And for lots of people, it really has always been that unstable and unkind, throwing you from pillar to post and all you can hope is that you make it through. I also know that social media plays a rather large role in this too, when people want to have an image, or be seen as something, get a following, and then having an audience makes them do things they wouldn’t unless they were trying to impress people. But the lack of experience and judgement often shows clear as day, and they don’t have the forethought to know how it will play out. I guess that’s how you learn though.

It’s ok to want to grow up quickly, or wish you were older and allowed to do things that ‘grown ups’ get to do, but children wanting to feel older is one thing, and one they won’t always understand the implications of. i.e., pretending to look older to get into a club, and once you are there pretending to be 18, it is thought by others you are 18, and expectations go with that, if you catch my drift. Being a teenager felt like a huge trial at the time, an endurance test of stress, confusion, fear and excitement, and isn’t an easy stage of life, for anyone it seems. So, being able to understand what expectations adults have of you should be quite important, for all sorts of reason, but for safety as well. I think many of us may have found ourselves in situations which were deemed ‘in over our head’, and had to work out how to either get out of it, or get through it. But you don’t always understand really what is going on.

And this is where I, like many others, are very uncomfortable about male drag artists performing for children at shows, libraries, schools, churches, etc, in sometimes extremely revealing clothing with very sexually suggestive ‘dance’ moves. Some people claim it’s just a bit of fun, but being honest, if you wanted to do something fun for the children, why didn’t you do something fun they wanted to do? How many 4, or 6, or 8 year olds when asked out of the blue what would be a really fun thing to do, come back with, “You know, I would like to go and see a fully grown man gyrate around in fishnets with their ‘boobs’ out please”. If they did, you should either ask what they have been watching, or who they have been listening to, because most kids don’t unless there is something very wrong going on in their life. It’s not hard to get kids attention with sparkly, shiny, bright colours and party like themes, so is it really the ‘dancer’ they are enjoying at all? Or the over the top-ness of it, the outrageous way that an adult is allowed to prance around, when adults are usually seen as authoritive, or grown-up.

So, it’s fun for the adult then? Which would ordinarily be fine, we used to have children’s presenters who are usually good with children, like playing silly games and ‘being on their level’ for a short time, same with teachers I guess. But in that, there is no expectation I believe, for the child to come up to the adult’s level of comprehension or understanding, yet it seems the children are being encouraged to imitate the behaviours they are being exposed to. It’s not just watch and enjoy is it? It’s interactive and imposing on their personal space, often. So many boundaries being crossed with this, and it is disappointing that more people don’t see it. And they don’t seem to see the overall sexualisation of children generally, it’s all connected in my view, how they try to make out it’s not a big deal, on both issues. Oh no we can’t say anything, we’ll seem racist? Oh no, we can’t say anything, we’ll be called homophobe or transphobe? Screw that, if I think I see children being taken advantage of by emotionally dysfunctional people who are just trying to justify their own sexual gratification, I will say it. Life can be hard enough as it is without someone forcing their own dysfunctional ideals and wants on others, I think we’ve had quite enough of that already don’t you know…

It Lives

Creating life, sometimes from death. Many a book, film or idea has been put forward about reanimating the dead. There seems to be a mild, if not fanatical obsession we have about the dead, and what may or may not happen in the afterlife. The Egyptians worshipped and revered it, as did the Mayans they say, and other civilisations and cultures throughout history have had a place for it. Life and death go hand in hand. Halloween approaches too which is apparently the day where the lines are thinnest between what is, and what it to come, and maybe sometimes, things can cross over, or come back. But in many of the themes I will use as examples from films, it isn’t always about stopping death, or bringing someone back, but about creating something new, from something dead.

Frankenstein – A tale of longing, madness and revenge. A scientist builds a monster from ‘human scraps’ and gives it life, through the medium of electricity. Note that, it’s a running theme you will notice.

Weird science – a great film, where two teenage boys decide to ‘create’ a woman using computer programming and a plastic barbie doll, and what should be the catalyst for making it work? A crazy lightning storm just happens to hit the house. And suddenly, there is life.

Short Circuit – A military robot gets hit by lightning, and it creates ‘life’ in him, developing a personality and learning. Another great film, and although not a human as such, it is still lightening and life. Which leads into the next one quite neatly.

Transformers – not the robots themselves, but the focus of the films, the Allspark. A metal cube that has the ability to give ‘life’ to metal objects. A spark of electricity is seen being emitted from it when it it’s activated.

War of the worlds – machines in the ground, activated by extreme lightning from the sky.

Resident Evil – The whole premise of the film starts around a virus, the T-Virus. A liquid compound that when injected into something dead, will bring it back to life. But as with most weird and unnecessary creations, it doesn’t stay as liquid, turns into a gas, and has a horrific effect on already living tissue, thus creating the ‘zombie’ for the storyline. No lightning, but a weird play on creating life, because it turns it around and creates ‘living death’. As I mentioned at the start, it doesn’t always seem about saving people from death, but about creating something new, from something dead.

Pet Semetary – this one being a classic example of that, trying to bring back a child, but what comes back isn’t what was expected or happily received in the end.

Nine – slightly different film to the above, but a delightful watch being honest. But the premise is the creation of nine little dolls, which each have a part of the scientists’ soul in them. He put his living self into objects and gave them life. It also has hints of a technological revolution and takeover by machine, and is a great story. I enjoyed it very much.

But they all have a thread of there being a mechanism, a spark that creates life. We bring people back to life with electricity to the heart when it stops, and people can die by being struck by lightning. A big bang of sorts to the system it is introduced to. Like what the hadron collider is trying to do. People think of it maybe creating a black hole, or a vortex, but what if it is there is create ‘life’ from the underworld, raising a leviathan? I’ll leave that idea there; it crosses into other realms. Once they reanimate or create something though, can you maintain it as such? All the storylines show that no, we can’t control it, but it doesn’t stop people trying. To be the commander of life and death really would set you apart from the average person. But what if you could, instead of creating ‘life’ from death that staggered on in a half-life, do the opposite. Create death within life, to have the same result of a half-life, creating a shell of a person, I only say this because it sometimes appears that is what has happened to some. And while in some ways I have speculated on their being another entity here, using our dead as vessels as said in the film Dark City and in my article Not like us, maybe I have missed the obvious. That they may also require the living, even though I should have realised this after writing Vampires, but not as you know it, but sometimes it takes a while to link things together. Because although things like this may only be fiction, and work their way into storylines and tales, there is no harm in considering what if it was real, and to ask yourself, would they? Could they? Have they?
