Little trees 🌳

They are coming along. Season three for one of my cherries, and second season for what I think are more cherries and a plum tree. And first season for an apple tree.

I also saved an elderberry sprout which has established this year and looks healthy despite being overrun with aphids last year (as was the cherry). Those little ants really get on it with farming them, but despite looking weary at the end of last year, they’ve come back strong so far. It’s looking quite fruity in the garden too with the redcurrent, blueberry, gooseberry, loganberry and strawberry, although I misplaced the logan berry and it’s been overtaken by the buddleia. Maybe the little branch I planted last year will come through. We’ll see…

Sprouting

There’s going to be a lot of gardening posts this year. The cosmos have started sprouting, and yesterday morning I noticed the spinach poking through. It’s getting very exciting.

Turns out that in one day the spinach shot up and is now transferred to another tray. Above is first thing in the morning, below is by lunchtime 😀

Same with the cosmos, above is morning, and below afternoon.

More things are starting to pop up so will have to keep a close eye on everything to make sure I give it the best chance of making it and learn as I go.

Growing season March 2022 #2

More seeds sown today, new plants in the garden and the other morning I decided to build another pond! Will do a post for that in the next few days. Growing things and nature gives a good feeling, and am hoping to cater for more wildlife this year. Extra flowers, herbs and plants so lots for everyone.

The window sill pots are in use again with new seeds.

The broccoli made it through last years caterpillars, lets see if it can this year and actually turn into broccoli 🥦

New flowers are taking well, and hopfully all the other bulbs and seeds will come up too, hope there is room for it all.
