It is here, my new book of short stories I have been saying is coming, has now arrived. Hopefully these ones will get feedback as good as the first book, but it’s always a bit nerve-racking putting something new out there.

It’s now in the final stages of edits, and coming soon.

Sometimes you hear something that makes you super proud of yourself. This line made my day –
“In many ways these tales remind me of programs like The Outer Limits or The Twilight Zone, stories with bizarre twists in everyday situations”
The whole review is awesome to be honest, only a snippet of it below, and all the reviews received for my short stories so far have been very complimentary. Working on a second collection at the moment, hopefully they will be as good as the first.

It’s not always easy to know how a story is going to end, or if it will. But sometimes there feels a need to see where it goes. When you keep wondering, how does it end?

I got my first Amazon reader review on A Parallel Abyss 🙂 very glad they enjoyed it – and as I don’t know anything about American Gods, I can’t comment on that bit but may well check it out.

I haven’t got in much reading at all over the last couple of years, but I noticed this one on social media with this description from a recent reader –
“If you love a creepy haunted house where the ghosts aren’t half as terrifying or tragic as the living people inside it, this is a must read.”
That sounded just the sort of thing I would actually like to read, so rather than think about it and forget. Ordered it straight away, started reading on the day it arrived and finished by the next day! Good pace and plot, with everything else balancing perfectly in between. A most enjoyable read 🙂

“So you see pictures in your head? That sounds like witchcraft to me!”
And to someone who doesn’t visualise in mind, or have an inner monolgue, it really did.
It was from there I asked more questions and discovered one of us has Hyperhantasia and the other has Aphantasia, and what followed was quite a game changer.

If you are looking for a dark, rather creepy read with a general overtone of horror, this way please…
Link to purchase the full book below – but here is the first chapter to get you started if you would like to see if it grabs you
