On the piss

On the piss. A funny saying here in the UK for when something is on the lean or not in a straight line (not sure if it’s common elsewhere). Also used for going out to get inebriated. On the lash being an interchangeable term for this also, and now and again one might use getting shit faced to explain what your purpose is for a Friday night or weekend. I love language and its uses and meaning!

Yesterday we had a bit of play in the sun with the ball. On the way back she looked as if she would fall over 🤣 action shots are so much fun.

While we work… (poetry)

While we work

Through all the stress

It may just seem

That it’s hopeless

Cornered in

They try to make

The truth appear

From something fake

Planting seeds

Of what comes next

Then lay the words

And the context

Within your mind

It does then stir

And not long after

Seems to occur

Because you knew

Well in advance

It helped to keep

You in their trance

Waiting to see

When they will give

The people back

A chance to live

But some won’t wait…

More and more… (poetry)

More and more

Seem to admit

That none of this

Is quite legit

People giving

Proper thought

To more than what

They have been taught

To just believe

With stats and word

Which don’t stack up

And are absurd

What’s being said

Versus what we see

Just doesn’t hold up

In reality

While they continue

With this charade

The longer we know

We’re being played

For fools

What they’ve done… (poetry)

What they’ve done

Is pure betrayal

And will now lead

To the biggest fail

While being inept

They did presume

And lacked the presence

To read the room

Because my friends

What’s happened here

Is more than just

Control through fear

They’re being told

Just what to do

To crush the lives

Of me and you

Because if data

And truth did lead

This great debacle

We wouldn’t need

Yet still we continue

The pantomime

But what we’re losing

Is more than time

It is our freedom

There comes a time… (poetry)

There comes a time

When we must face

This has become

A huge disgrace

It’s more than just

A travesty

It now has morphed

To tyranny

Holding to ransom

Our days and years

Changing our thoughts

And filling with fears

Where once before

Were hope and dreams

Now it’s different

And not what it seems

We have been tricked

And led astray

Down a dark path

That only they

Know where it leads…
