The foraging has begun, and instead of completely missing and forgetting about the flowers and gathering berries, this year, I noticed. And now have some homemade elderflower cordial, which is delicious.

The heart appears to be more important than maybe some have realised. Generating and sustaining our physical and spiritual life force, its own universe contained in each body.
Egyptians thought the heart of upmost importance to you in life and death, believing it is the ‘repository of one’s moral life’, and that you will be judged on the weight of it upon your death as you sit before Osiris, waiting for the outcome of that judgement. Your heart being the holder of all your memories they say, so it’s on that you are held to account.
A broken heart is something that appears to be real, and isn’t a little thing yet is talked about in an almost casual way sometimes as if it is only a brief physical thing. Or a social thing that is just a coined term for a time in your life, or a type of experience that is to be expected at some point in your existence. But it really can devastate people, they even say that people die of a broken heart it can be so, well, heartbreaking. And initially I did think that sounded a bit ridiculous, not quite fully comprehending the power of thought, and love. And how it seems that often it is our heart which tries to steer us, and our brain interferes somewhat, mind over matter they say. Meaning in my mind once I break it down and give it real thought, that heart is what matters.
Heartless, the word we have for people being abusive, cold, calculated and without care for others. Where we can see that they are missing something rather important, and it shows. We also say some people are lacking heart, where courage or conviction of belief is absent. But often that is from someone else’s viewpoint, so could be argued, as with heartless. That old saying of being cruel to be kind, and what could be called callous now, in time, could be viewed as compassion. Sometimes the only way to assist or help someone, is to stand aside and let them do their own thing, their own way, as that might be their path to learning.
Head vs Heart – they say there is a battle that often ensues, between our heads and our hearts. That mind over matter I mentioned above, giving you the idea that to be fully in control of your mind, means you are fully in control of yourself. But if the heart influences so much about us, who we are and what we are, then the brain is not the centre point for our personalities after all, although it may be the central processing and reasoning centre. Is that perhaps why it is so important at a young age to be shown love, affection and care? Not just so your brain can develop as a complex and social creature, but so your heart can also develop the necessary functions and full range of experiences.
Home is where the heart is they say. And of course, is not meant as a location or abode necessarily, but to convey that it is where and with whom you are most comfortable and at peace with in your heart. Maybe that’s why anxiety is felt in the heart firstly, as increased heartrate and sometimes a stabbing sensation, giving you a warning or a premonition type feeling to pay attention to.
A heartfelt apology, that term used when it seems that someone is giving a genuine apology, which does indeed seem from the heart. Rather than those who are doing it for lip service instead, using the right words but missing it being meant, or those who go even further to twist it and give a non-apology. And if you don’t know how to spot the differences, it can lead you down a naive and costly path. The same can be said of what we call truth, people are not always forthcoming with it, to themselves and others, and can people twist it, withhold it and use it for their own ends and against others. The two often being intertwined in the quest for understand between us humans.
And when it comes to giving something your all, what do they say? Put your heart and soul into it, giving you the idea that they are connected and once combined can achieve anything you set your mind to. The three parts of the personal trinity we carry in each of us, heart, soul and mind. Have the clarity of mind to know what is needed, have the depth of soul to understand it, and the strength of heart to do what needs to be done…

In order to get to people, a way was needed to ensure they would stay where they were meant to. That they would keep coming back for more rules and order, keep the system going, and feed it a new generation over and over.
And while you get told There Is No Free Ride, we see that, in fact, there does seem to be. Well, On The Face of It there is. Because free isn’t free in modern society, you pay with your taxes, time, energy, and thoughts, and at least what used to happen, is it appeared that the people who contributed to that ‘pot’ were the ones who benefitted from it thereafter. Many times, we have had the discussion in this country amongst ourselves, and the attitudes towards those who don’t pull their weight, social stigma being attached to them, then just frowned upon. Now it seems to be applauded and encouraged, with more and more reasons being found of why people aren’t able to support themselves, because it seems they don’t really want people being able to Looking After Yourself.
But as child benefits take a centre stage again, I still can’t really get my head around people being given money for having children. The argument is currently whether the cap on only receiving benefits for up to two children should be reviewed. The population numbers, the demographics and finances for everyone are being looked at, who is breeding, where are they from, and trying to calculate the percentages and targets for a ‘perfect ratio’. Another of those models and simulations that affect our actual lives, as policies and societal changes occur off the back of them. They register and keep people in the system through their children, bribing them with money for complete access to them, from birth as discussed in What Are We Worth?. Realising myself that if people don’t line up for that birth certificate and payout, they can’t track people, can’t get people in line for monitoring and for their life of tax slavery, A Working Strategy that appears to change with the times.
The Ministry of Monitoring is the modern version of times past, where they are updating the model to incorporate and utilise technology, where we become part of The Digital Doomsday Database. One size fits all and you must comply to get on by, sign in, sign up and collect your payment for your contribution to society. Many people have moaned for years about child benefit, about why should people who don’t have kids pay for those who do, and it’s a good argument. But it detracts from the real question to me, what do they expect in exchange for that payment? A contract of sorts being entered into, where you must adhere to their rules of healthcare, education and structure, fitting in to the system and getting the ‘benefit’ of that. And many now do think that the cap should be raised for that particular benefit, but again, an argument ensues about who deserves it, as we have lots of new arrivals with a much higher birth rate than we have had for over 100 years.
So, rather than ask the question of why there is even a need to have government subsidies for families and lives, people just argue about how much and who should get it. Yet, we notice when a business or company is surviving solely on government top ups, and usually comment that it isn’t right, either they need to admit they can’t manage, or assess what the restrictions are that force the reliance on handouts and subsidies. Holding Us Back has been part of the plan for quite some time. Using our own time and money against us in a continuous cycle of control with emotional, pharmaceutical, and psychological factors heavily interwoven and overlayed so can be even harder to see through it all and know which way is even up. But wouldn’t it be nice if there was no need at all to be in the pocket of the government? They didn’t take anything from you, and in return, you don’t take anything from them, everyone able to support themselves and each other, without a grossly distorted and mismanaged overseer waiting to destroy your family, your dreams, your livelihood and future if you disagree with them or don’t pay your ‘fee’ for making your way in the world. Wouldn’t that be nice…
