It’s an exciting time in the garden. Moat of the butterflies gave moved on, but caterpillars are here. Mostly cabbage whites, large and small at first.

But in the last few days have spotted 3 grey dagger moth caterpillars on the little cherry tree.

And glanced over the little raspberry bush and spotted a rusty tussock!

Was also treated to a square spot rustic moth that appeared under the back door when opened. Looks like Autumn will be a busy one for moths.

Found a good art filter, so here is a photo of a cosmos arted up. I like this style, I have a feeling there will be more…

I’ve managed to grow a full Purple Basil plant, there a few more little ones that I’ve saved from being munched. But I always plant extra so there’s enough for the wildlife too. The bees have been loving the flowers on this though as well.

Found a number of eggs on a small nasturtium in my hanging basket, thought I better relocate wheh hatched so they have enough food. Forgot, then noticed a much smaller nasturtium not long thereafter. Now actually relocated and quite happily muching their way through, and getting bigger by the day.
