Waking up to a frosty morning is made far better when you have a beautiful sunrise to accompany it. The day has taken a wintery turn now, so it’s nice to get up early and catch these moments.

We have a lot of rainy days in England. Sometimes it makes me look out of the window and remember being stuck inside during holidays or weekends. But not in a bad way, most people moan about the weather for that, but for me it gave me a chance to do indoor things. For tv and movies, baking, embroidery, drawing, reading and all the other things I found to do. So rainy days for me usually mean getting stuff done.

Shadows in nature often make for a perfect subject for photography.

It my seem like a small thing, but seeing your photography as real things is a very satisfying feeling. All the ancient sites have something special about them. We visited Cumbria to go and see this stone circle a few years back, and it really is one of the most spectacular locations. In the mountains with nothing of much apart from stunning views, it really does make you wonder how and why there? But for those who like a bit of neolithic in the home, you can find many different products available with this design and many more.

Autumn is here, leaves falling, night is coming in quicker and cold blustery days ahead. Time to get the warm coats and gloves out.

It’s the season for those who like the damp cool weather to start making an appearance. Just a solitary pleated inkcap (parasola plicatilis) was present in the garden…

I’m just a little bit in love with autumn, the wonderful colour of the changing leaves and the choppy weather. Nice.
