The normal fears… (poetry)

The normal fears

That we have faced

Have been rewritten

And replaced

That there are those

Elected through charm

Who actually mean

To cause us harm

If it was nature

Throwing the curve

We’d find our feet

And then observe

How we can group

And organize

But not when trapped

In all these lies

The mental threat

Looms ever near

While slowly taking

What we hold dear

Through all of this

I can but hope

We make it through

And manage to cope

It’s a strange road ahead…

How could it be… (poetry)

How could it be

That we are here

I know the facts

But they aren’t clear

Confusion used

As weapon and tool

To hoodwink us

They hope to fool

And change the way

We think and live

What they’ve done

I can’t forgive

As time goes on

The future’s scrapped

Instead they say

Try to adapt

To this new norm

Still changing fast

All I think

Is it cannot last

Forever

I wonder where… (poetry)

I wonder where

We go from here

The narrative set

Is a landscape of fear

Turned they have

The normal brain

To be taboo

To feel insane

For questioning

What should be fine

But instead

We walk the line

Of knowing not

Where this will go

Beholden to

The strangest show

Yet on we go

Because we must

No longer sure

If we can trust

Ourselves

So much has happened… (poetry)

So much has happened

It’s hard to explain

And so consumed

One can’t contain

The rug’s been pulled

From underfoot

While what you knew

Is firmly put

Away, behind you

To be no more

The futures changed

And now seems war

Is being raged

Against your mind

Manipulated

I think you’ll find

What they seek

They do not hide

To conquer us

They must divide

What we think

And friend from friend

And forward we go

To whatever end

In this created… (poetry)

In this created

Pile of gloom

There’s so much

Impending doom

Can’t go back

No moving on

The futures late

And the past is gone

Not knowing what

Or where to go

Our lives on hold

And stuck in limbo

It would be great

If the path was clear

Instead its blocked

With all the fear
