It is a plan

They do not hide

One of conquer

And divide

Propaganda

So much for show

Keep us apart

Turn friend to foe

To make it work

They had to get

An increased level

Of personal threat

To make you fear

Your fellow man

See them as infected

And then they can

Have their rules

And change of law

But I have to wonder

What is the straw

That will break the camels back

I try each day

To keep my cool

While treated like

A child and fool

Reminding me

Of being grounded

No fun, no friends

Completely hounded

On the whim

Of ones deranged

Drunk in their power

They have changed

And taken over

Each thought and act

Of our lives

But it’s a fact

That really we

Can’t stay like this

We want to live

Not merely exist

It’s like in a story

A fairy tale

While evil reigns

Can good prevail

We watch and hope

On the edge of our seat

Wanting to know

We can defeat

The darkness coming

Across the land

While trying our best

To understand

What happens next

We just don’t know

We’re told to wing it

Just go with the flow

But now the flow

Is just too weird

It makes no sense

And is being steered

Into the abyss

An absolute must

That in yourself

You need to trust

Just what it is

You think and feel

To know illusion

From what is real

Sometimes that

Which is in hand

Can take a while

To understand

And really know

What has occurred

We’re only told

Through tainted word

So thought it can

Assist us through

To try and discover

The false from true

They want us lost

And feeling alone

You’re a smaller threat

If on your own

And in these dark

And uncertain days

There seems no end

Like trapped in a maze

But something is up

That we can feel

What’s being said

Just doesn’t seem real

Nothing to see

With only their word

The lie is so twisted

It got too absurd

But now a lifestyle

It’s gone on so long

There won’t be much left

If we can’t just get on

Time is slipping away…

In this new world

Which is quite strange

You’ll need to adjust

And rearrange

The way you thought

Or what you knew

It’s no longer clear

Just what is true

There seems to be

An agenda at play

Rolling out

More day by day

What came before

Now feels long past

What was once normal

Is changing fast

Every day

They change the game

Moving the goalposts

Never the same

It’s really hard

To comprehend

Where this is going

And if it will end

What they have changed

Is the playing field

Pushing the people

Until they yield

With veiled bribes

Laced with threat

It does now seem

That this has been set

In motion and can’t be

Thwarted or slowed

We look like we’re headed

Down the long old road

To disaster

It’s strange but all

I can presume

Is that the masses

Accept this doom

That has been set

Through clever disguise

With stats and figures

And twisted through lies

There won’t be what

We had before

We don’t even know

What is in store

The ones who think

It’ll be just fine

Seem not to know

This is by design

All I can hope

That this coming year

Will be less fraught

With gloom and fear

The question asked

Was how can we

Make the sheeple

Really see

What is there

Before our eyes

A dastardly plot

So riddled with lies

All the sensible

Logical folk

Are seen as mad

A bit of a joke

Strange to think

That people find

It odd to query

Or use your mind

Because it’s safer

For the blind to keep

Their self-denial

And stay asleep

It becomes more obvious

Quite plain to see

We’re not in the same

Reality

But were we ever?
