It seems as if
The stage is set
To try and make
Us all forget
What came before
And how it was
Changing facts
And truth because
It doesn’t fit
With what they do
They want us scared
Not knowing what’s true
As we might notice
And really see
Under this regime
We’re no longer free
To live and breath
And hold what’s dear
Instead they want
Us living in fear

It’s now a minefield
Of what to believe
Months of lies
Have now achieved
Mass confusion
And split the crowd
Just one narrative
They shout so loud
It’s deafening
To the point of numb
Ignoring all else
They think we’re dumb
But we aren’t
We’ve just been used
To keep us all
Dazed and confused
But now is not
The time to sleep
To blindly follow
Like herded sheep
Use your brain
And apply some thought
To think outside
What you’ve been taught
It may just save us all

It’s not normal
And should be shunned
How we got here
I’m frankly stunned
But now we are
No time for shock
Gather your thoughts
And then take stock
Of what it means
And where we go
A starting point
So that we know
To not be scared
And chose to hide
Instead stand up
And must decide

And frightening clear
Instead of facts
They’re using fear
Follows no logic
But works a charm
And feels more like
They mean us harm
Playing with peoples
Lives and dreams
It’s all messed up
And not what it seems
Not all are ok
Not sure how to deal
With being locked down
The struggle is real
It’s hard to fathom
Just what’s been lost
And really how
To measure the cost
While it goes on
One could presume
We’re being led
Towards our doom

More confidence
If what we’re told
Made more sense
Their response
Is be more strict
But in their lies
They contradict
Even themselves
It’s just so weird
But as it unfolds
It’s as I feared
Gone from bad
To strange then worse
What they are doing
Is so perverse
It boggles my mind
How all don’t see
They tapped our fear
Of mortality
And are using it against us

Some didn’t see
We’re already chased
By mortality
But using every
Daily breath
To spend your time
Avoiding death
It seems a loss
And quite a waste
When time is short
We should make haste
To live our lives
And make them full
Just be aware
And responsible
For you and yours
And what you do
To keep it real
And know what’s true

We can talk and cry

We have to admit
The logic has crumbled

Although a madness
It does seem

Like in a dream

You try to wake
But as you feared

I try each day

A fairy tale
