It’s even stranger
Than we could have feared
Like a hurtling train
That’s not being steered
It’s just so plain
And obviously clear
They want us all
Living in fear
Manufactured
And manipulated
A ridiculous set up
They’ve now created
That we are allowing
And watching unfold
When now is the time
We need to be bold
Just how much longer
Do we follow their lead
Pretending we have to
Instead of this need
To throw it all down
Enough has been done
They’ve got to admit
They had a good run
But who in our history
When proved they have lied
Did ever be graceful
And just step aside
~
Nobody

It’s not always easy to know how a story is going to end, or if it will. But sometimes there feels a need to see where it goes. When you keep wondering, how does it end?

I got my first Amazon reader review on A Parallel Abyss 🙂 very glad they enjoyed it – and as I don’t know anything about American Gods, I can’t comment on that bit but may well check it out.

The tension is building
It almost has taste
While all around us
They’re laying to waste
All that is good
And what came before
Taking and taking
But still wanting more
More of your life
Your time and your thought
They want people fearful
To be scared and distraught
But not all the folk
Are playing their game
Not everyone folded
And took on the shame
Instead, they held firm
And went with their heart
Seeing a darkness
Creep in from the start
Whatever is coming
It seems we can’t hide
So as it gets closer
We each must decide
Just where it is
That we want this to go
There’s no time to dither
And say you don’t know
~
Because if you don’t decide, they will

If you find yourself in need of a book for world book day…
Most of my books are detailed below and there are more in the pipeline.
The Willing Observer – Fictional autobiography of a stalker/psychopath breaking down their methodology
A Parallel Abyss – A paranormal horror thriller
The Unknown – Horror/sci-fi story of a virus that changes the world (that one might not be an escape as such, but isn’t along the same lines as what is going on).
Under the Apple Tree and other short stories – Six short creepy stories, each with a twist – two of these are available to read on here if interested. Clocking Off and Doctors Visit.
Meeting in the Middle of Nowhere – A non-fiction book discussing the differences between Aphantasia and Hyperphantasia.
Rhyme and Reason – Poetry inspired by life.
Rhyming Reason – Volume II – Observational poetry of society and of the unfolding drama around us currently.
All the links for these can be found here on my book page

Sometimes life
Can seem quite hard
A need to be constantly
On your guard
Against yourself
And the world you see
When all you wanted
Was to simply be
But it got tough
And really quite gritty
Blow after blow
Made it real shitty
And for a time
It all seemed bleak
A search for some calm
While trying to speak
Shouting out loudly
Not saying a word
Everyone’s listening
Yet nothing gets heard
So day after day
One can but try
To make the best of it
And to apply
A new perspective
An alternative thought
For something different
Don’t sell yourself short
~
You’re worth more than that
