It Follows A Path

I’m not sure how to lead into this one, so will just lay out the feature idea. Theorising that the rise in what we would call different sexual identities, frustrations and alternate genders is a consequence. Not just of society as I might have thought, of suppression of ‘natural instincts’ and forced family structure etc. With extra exposure to more extreme ideas and interests. And perhaps that can go some way to explain some circumstances.

However, the rise in what appears to be very confused and somewhat extreme behaviour has caught my attention, as it has with many others. And if it were indeed just consenting adults, doing consenting adult things, however deviant they may be, would not be of such a concern. But it is the involvement of minors and grooming of young to people to also be part of the ‘expression’ they have decided needs to be on show. To be validated and have an audience for that validation, with it seems a constant need for that to be reaffirmed at every turn, a conditioning of sorts. There have been a number of articles I have written around the strange sexual landscape towards children, The Face Of A Clown – In Story Town and A Slippery Slope being the main ones, although it does pop up as a running theme here and there in others. Once only a dark undertone within certain industries and corners of society, but now seemingly more out in the open every day. A sinister deviant section of society looking to thoroughly corrupt the next generation, having done it to previous ones in various ways.

But there is an added strangeness occurring alongside it, where there are many people turning their back on sexuality altogether, or don’t have any feeling towards to it, which is what this piece really is about. Not the ones who are obsessed, and want everything in life to be geared around their own personal pleasure, no, this is about the others. Who seem to be becoming the opposite, who are partially or completely disengaged from desire, and in my usual way I wondered, is it a ‘natural’ thing to occur, as speculated in The Beautiful Mice, given the conditions of society we face? Or, is a natural consequence of the extra conditions placed within that, namely, pharmaceuticals. There has been much talk of late about SSRI’s and other medications for depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders. I have already delved into the idea they have been labelling people for years to make money, encouraging people to also do it to themselves, covered in It’s A Set Up and it seems many others have noticed too. But alongside there being suggestion that some of these anti-psychotic drugs actually cause suicidal and psychotic episodes, it seems there may be a lot more being switched off than at first appeared. Or at least if people have been trying to raise an alarm, they have been quietly dismissed or ignored altogether.

So, further along from More Than Pain Gets Killed and An Error, But A Big One, it seems that there has been another consequence of some of this medications, for some people. They have lost their sexual drive, desire, or ability to feel attachment or satisfaction. So I wonder if that has led into the recent ‘changes’ we appear to be witnessing in society, coupled with more input and exposure to all sorts of concepts and imagery. Being assimilated into a thought process that is not functioning correctly. And it is quite probable, as they say, that extreme sexual deviance was always there, but was it so in the numbers we see today? Another thing that they are trying to normalise, but is that being helped along by people being encouraged into that extreme version of a human. With environmental conditions being set so that you create the frustration, not just physical, but chemically enhanced so it takes on a darker, more sinister edge as there is something beyond just an average human need occurring.

It is a hampered and stunted version, emotionally disrupted and mentally corrupted being nurtured. Some turn that in on themselves and will find destructive ways to try and express the turmoil, and others, well they turn their attention to others to ‘relieve their turmoil’. Perhaps. There are also those who notice the detachment, the shutting down of normal feelings and reactions and will stop, knowing something isn’t right. But not everyone is able to spot it, or ends up being herded along by others really believing it is there to help, or they are the problem that needs fixing. And this is where I think they are covering the main issue, with genders and identities and trying to create a very convoluted society, because then it’s much easier for the real issue to get overlooked or lost because people were afraid to ask why. Why are so many switched off to themselves, to life, and to each other? Is it simply just because we all got busy, or distracted by entertainment and keeping up with the technological demands of society? Or is it something else as well, behind it all, keeping it at the dampened and frustrated level they require to create a muted version of what we were meant to be. I wonder…
