There is a problem… (poetry)

There is a problem

We can’t ignore

They’ve taken much

But still want more

More of your thought

Your wants and time

To cover the tracks

Of their dastardly crime

That rather large issue

That grows day by day

And no matter their words

It won’t go away

Because we can see

What they try to hide

A disaster unfolds

And we just can’t abide

So many complicit

The network is vast

Thoughts were created

And spells have been cast

Building the stage

For a scene they have set

Hoping that people

Will get lost and forget

~

Just what they have done

Pod Life 2

A follow up piece to Pod life, to the idea of growing babies in external pods, situated in your living room and monitored by a central system. With the ‘parents’ being a strange voyeur to their new offspring’s development.

But the talk has moved on, already. To implants of wombs into men, who want to be women. Removing women altogether from the reproduction process apparently. Odd isn’t it, how on one hand there is a drive to eliminate words, meanings, laws and security for women, at the same time as some people suddenly decide they want to be one, with all the bells and whistles too as one might say. So is it erasure, or replacement? Things being redefined at the drop of a hat to suit a purpose is something we are getting used to. What you thought you knew can be turned upside down in a second, and if you aren’t the type to know their own mind or think critically about information presented to you, then you may struggle to discern what is real or not. And what can be trusted or not, especially if you haven’t yet learnt to trust yourself.

But it sounds like what we once knew as the world of science-fiction, of mad professors and villains, safely tucked away in a film or story that you can put down or switch off. Or ones that end safely with someone shutting down the awfulness, or foiling the plan to expose the hideous outcome that nearly befell everyone, so you can be relieved When someone else saves the day. But no-one does appear to be saving the day in real life, anatomy and meanings are being rewritten and overwritten right in our faces, while people try to say it isn’t. Either way, something is coming. Whether it be the collapse of society, an impending disaster, a split in humanity or just a slow decline from here, who can really say for sure. And it could be all those things, working towards an end goal that just isn’t so obvious yet, throwing caution to the wind and knowing the time is now short, go a bit crazy. Pulling out all the stops to make everything topsy turvy, to destabilise what was and is, to lay the foundations for what will be. If you had a heads up that a world changing event were going to take place, would you tell everyone? Or would you do what you needed to make sure you survive and get ahead of everyone else? Maybe causing some issues for other people to slow them down, or side-track them from also knowing. Sometimes that is how it seems, with no care, thought or consideration for the future, only saying the right things to make people believe you are planning for one, when in reality, they know it’s not going to be there in the capacity we know it, so it doesn’t matter what they do. But everything that is being done, looks like it is for the ruin of humanity and the environment, not the betterment of it. So, I am left to wonder. Why would they want to create such a confused, contaminated and possibly sterile landscape and population, with limited options for growing, created weather problems and division and hatred? Why indeed, and one of the conclusions I come to, is that you want to make it as hard as possible for people to regroup and find their feet. By destroying, poisoning, shutting down and filling in things, they are undoing hundreds of years’ worth of work, time and ingenuity and have been at it for quite some time. Under the guise of progress, updating and improving society, when all the while it has been to infiltrate and dismantle it around us. All the while we were too busy trying to keep up with their distractions and standards to really notice the bigger picture, which now seems to be more in view than ever before.

Those things were the fringe services and areas of society though, with small intrusions into the domestic life and family structure, which has also gathered pace in the last few years. And again, those small things start to tie together to form a bigger more insidious picture than could be seen before. Breaking down values, morals, connections and trust between people, strategically introducing social influences and issues to upset the apple cart, and shake things up. And now we are faced with a wide range to contend with, some of them seemingly more sinister than others, with an overtone and undertone of hatred and malice. Personal agendas are one thing, and quite possibly we are bit more skilled at recognising that in people, but group agendas, well, it seems not so much. Understanding that someone can be executing a personal agenda while working for a bigger cause should be an easy leap in mind to me, but not to everyone. Enough can see it though, and perhaps it is because women understand how a certain portion of men view and treat them, so an alarm bell is ringing loud and clear. It reminds me of reading something online, where a man who wanted to be a woman, joined a women’s group, and then complained that the women were talking about periods, and that excluded him, so he didn’t want them to be able to discuss their women’s problems anymore, and kicked up a fuss. You know, because we all want to join chess club, and then complain that they are playing chess which you don’t know how to play, and isn’t it unfair they don’t play connect-4? Normal people would say, hey, just set up your own connect-4 club. Or get stuffed. But those responses would be applicable for the good old days, not anymore. And of that example, I should point out, there are people who don’t want to work for things, or do things themselves, they want others to do the hard work for them, and then just take it, or ruin it so they can’t have it. Some people actually get pleasure out of being that type of person, so I presume they are present in today’s social landscape too, being agitators and corruptors of a cause, sewing more division, mistrust and hatred. Making people feel like they need to fight for their corner as someone tried to take it away or ruin it.

And back to the main point of the article. With one hand they are encouraging women to be sterilised, or to halt their ability to breed, or have abortions, or birth control. Making it super expensive to have and raise children, constantly interfering with the development by way of medical, nutritional and educational means, putting extra strain on what should be a natural and normal thing. Only mere decades ago (and quite possibly still now), they stole lots of children from single mothers and women they deemed unfit for no reason other than social status by their standard. Destroying families and bonds between parents and children, creating generational trauma to hand down. And with the other hand, they are fawning over men wanting to be women, offering them all the things that many women had to fight for, and suffer for. But they aren’t just offering them their own version of it, with all the medical treatment they could want and facilities and recognition in their own right. No, no, they want everything relabelled that is already in place and full access. It does seem rather odd. Especially as until this recent point, we have been happily integrating with men wanting to be women, and making the transition towards that. But not in a manly aggressive way, which seems to be the new style, and some women are like that too, so that approach can be from all quarters, and rather than specify it by gender, I shall call it what it is. Bullying. And trying to get your own way by intimidation tactics. Weird that it is now becoming about getting rid of one, so the other can feel validated, important and ‘seen’. We don’t want you around or known as you, but want to be what you are and replace you. Like an odd Buffalo Bill Stepford Wife kind of scenario. And like the women in that film, who was happily going about her day, and happy to help someone in need, she gets clobbered and used for purpose. Which is how many feel in this, possibly on both sides, because there is something going on here which is not just about people being themselves, or identity, or acceptance, it seems to be something far more sinister. Which has yet to be fully revealed…

Echoes In Time

Like on a loop, repeating. This has been the explanation here and there for ghosts and apparitions that people claim to have seen or heard. If you have ever been on a ghost hunt, or watched any of the paranormal programs about haunted locations, you might know what I am talking about. And oddly this piece crosses over into another in progress called Imprinting, but as that is from a slightly different angle, I will keep them separate.

From how it is described by the paranormal folk, I took it as the following. That sometimes there is an event, so shocking, tragic or ghastly, that the energy and force of the event, creates a sort of shock in time as well as in what we know as reality. That it imprints the feeling, or image, or sound onto the fabric of time and space, to be replayed and repeated over and over. As if stuck on a loop with the same frame showing, or a record where the stylus keeps jumping on the same spot, playing the same moment over and over.

So, what is it that occurs when someone thinks they have witnessed something like that? There have been many stories over the years that caught my attention, and I have been very much interested in the whole subject of the paranormal for a few decades now. Tales of headless horsemen, women in white, ghostly battle scenes, haunted mansions and creepy walkways. And I have visited a couple of locations on ‘ghost hunting’ tours, to see for myself what it was actually all about and how they were conducted in real life, not just on the television. I also visited a medium as well as part of the research, again just to know how they appeared in real life, and a friend had visited this one and said it was great, so thought why not. Neither the ghost hunting or visiting a psychic made me suddenly unequivocally believe in them, nothing was revealed or was witnessed within the realms of the supernatural. It was however, rather interesting to see how people behaved in those situations though, myself included (as I am ‘people’ too).

And it did make me think, about what it is that remains, if anything, to keep a feeling or an idea ‘alive’ through the ages. Is there an imprint of energy on that location that can then recreate something given the right conditions? I will bring up Ouija boards here as they have been known to be used for things like this, and again I have speculated about them. It comes back to energy I guess, that maybe when people are giving their concentrated attention to something, while trying to create A portal, something does happen. Makes me think of Stranger Things, where they created a tear in the fabric of dimensions, allowing a creature of sorts to come through and for that world to start seeping through into the ‘real’ one. Like Ghostbusters too I guess, and the entire premise of All Hallows Eve where the veil between worlds is at its thinnest. Or so they say. So, there is a question in my mind on that, if people do in fact see, hear and feel things like that – two options are available for that question. Is it an echo in time, repeating on a loop? Or, is it something that is not actually dead communicating from the ‘other side’ of life, but something that is quite ‘alive’ in its realm, reaching through into ours? And maybe sometimes we too, can cross over in theirs. But when they come into ours, are we equipped to recognise that? Or comprehend what it is we are ‘seeing’, finding it easier to apply a common theme or known possibility of a spectre with a tragic human past, making it easier to deal with in mind. Because if we did know, that something dark and unyielding was lurking just beyond our range, pacing the perimeter of reality like a stalker looking for a way in, would we still go about our lives as comfortably as we do? I wonder…

Peach cheesecake

Decided to try peach cheesecake l have wanted too for a while, so took the plunge.

For the base

65g crushed homemade Orange Biscuits (or digestives)

20g melted butter

For the topping

110g peaches tinned

45g caster sugar

5g cornflour

Small bit of water for cornflour

For the filling

125g double cream

75g cream cheese

25g caster sugar

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Method:

Melt butter and add crushed biscuits, put some in ramekins (this makes 3). Leave to cool.

Pour the peaches and syrup in a pan, add the sugar and simmer for about 5 minutes. Mix the cornflour with water, and add to the pan. Keep on low heat for a few more minutes until it thickens. Then leave to cool, put about 1/3 to one side for topping. (I pushed a bit through a sieve to get some smooth for mixing through as well).

Mix the cream cheese to soften and stir in the vanilla extract, whip the cream and sugar until stiff. Fold the peaches and whipped cream through the cream cheese until combined. Then add to the ramekins, add some peaches amd syrup on top and put in thr fridge for a few hours. Then eat and enjoy.

Deceivers, Or Just Entertainment?

It’s just a bit of fun, isn’t it? Playing make-believe and pretending to be someone else. With costumes, scenery, make-up and adopting a different persona, people are convinced of what they see. Suspending reality for a moment or a short time to be immersed in the fakery, your own brain playing along and helping to create and sustain the illusion.

But where does that illusion end and reality really begin in some people’s minds? It’s been noted for years how some people struggle to separate the two, often thinking about soap operas and storylines as if they were real. Thinking about the characters as if they are real, and often taking influence from these constructed ‘lives’ to learn about their own. Not always in a good way. Don’t get me wrong, people don’t need to watch constant drama to become it, some people are genuinely a whirlwind of instances they create and cannot manage effectively, and mayhem usually follows. But the television portrayal of it is a constant and exaggerated version of that.

Following soap operas though, came the boom in reality TV. Big Brother (aptly named) popped up at a turning point, with others quickly following. It must have been realised by the behaviour department that although people could be manipulated and influenced with completely fictional characters, pretending those fictional characters are real people, was an interesting twist and one which was obviously of benefit. And that’s where I realised that’s what we had anyway. The people now deemed ‘celebrities’ have been paraded here and there for quite some time, where apparently we are shown moments in their lives, their ups and downs, romances and disasters etc off screen. Revealing things from behind the screens and closed doors, as if you are being allowed to glimpse their ‘real world’. Making them the soap opera when acting, then reality TV when not.

Which leads me to one actor in particular, who has stood out recently more than most for his apparent ‘revealing’ of his issues surrounding his career and thought process towards the ‘system of entertainment’. But it’s not a new revelation to me, and isn’t to many others I suspect. What he thinks he is revealing though is to tell us of how the person we think is the actor, is also a role being played (where I had to kind of chuckle and think, no shit sherlock). Scripted and contrived for purpose and effect, as they all are. But that particular actor, Jim Carey, has an interesting catalogue behind them, much of which I have enjoyed I shall admit. Because there is something else there, beyond the ‘zany expressions’ and overdone presentation, which is what made him seem like a character for the longest time anyway.

Some of the films seem to display an extra tone to them – The Mask, Cable Guy, Batman Forever, Liar Liar, Truman Show. Some of the others have things too, but those are a little trail towards the persona for title of them and content. And the first one being a strange concept, of a mask you put on, with it having its own ‘life force and personality’, taking you over and being all the things you ever wanted to be. Seems like a possible analogy for AI, or what they have now called your avatar. An online personality you create and nurture, to show the online world what you want to be, hoping that maybe you will become it in real life. But not noticing how you become more and more a part of the virtual existence, because that is where you can be the ‘you’ that you think you are. But is it you? With talk of AI becoming more progressive within ‘social environments’, there being holographic generated imagery of deceased people and of programmes keeping peoples social media accounts ‘alive’ after they have passed. With voice mapping and created images to help people with their grief apparently, letting the person ‘live forever’ in the cyber world. Might sound advanced to some, but it sounds downright creepy to me. And as if they are slowly erasing the real identities and lives of people, wanting them to be fully in a system, whether you are dead or alive. Seemingly that you will no longer have a choice about your consciousness soon as well as your body.

We have various types of masking these days as well to confuse what we think we see and know. Prosthetic masks, painted as a development within entertainment, Hollywood being the main point where lots of things converge. But we know that if there are creations that would easily trick the eyes, then all sorts of agencies would have been employing them, way before entertainment. If something becomes public knowledge, then it has been around for more than an age. Information has been controlled for the longest time, since they worked out to open a patent office, to intercept all the ideas and inventions that creatively flow through people. And that leads to a very bottlenecked version of what should be, and I guess I would it call a masked reality. Things feel stunted and held back, because they are. As if all you have to do is open the gate and everything can get through together and spread out and grow naturally. Instead it’s contained, separated into different lanes and holding carts, herded into dusty rooms to sit and wait. Breaking the flow of energy and creativity and changing it into frustration and confusion. That’s why they have so many hoops to jump through to be able to achieve anything, or be anything, or to want anything. People end up spending so long trying to fight and change the system that they never get to the potential they are being held back from, but still end up being part of it. As everyone does, but that doesn’t mean we should stop imagining or planning for a better way…
