What now we see… (poetry)

What now we see

And understand

Is they built a house

On shifting sand

Precariously

If one brick goes

The rest will fall

Like dominos

And now we are

In quite a bind

As all these lies

Are intertwined

That’s why they work

So very hard

To twist our thoughts

They do bombard

The system and senses

With constant news

True or not

It’s there to confuse

Because they know

Just what to do

To get behaviour

From me and you

But think of a time

Before this mess

Of different thoughts

And far less stress

It’s not a distant memory

Spider on the wall

The garden has been a bit sparse of late, but as Spring starts to come through and the sun hits more of the garden, things are stirring. This little spider was sat still on the wall clutching his kill, a rare moment where I can take my time and try and get a good shot. Hampered slightly by my garden planter being in the way!

But still I tried to get underneath as best I could to get a shot of the front eyes.

Then a little while after, he was scampering across the wall and stopped for me. I like to think he remembered the photo shoot and wanted another one 😉

It’s strange to watch… (poetry)

It’s strange to watch

And really see

Them changing the face

Of reality

With careful stories

They did choose

To sway our thoughts

And create the news

Like in a movie

That one They Live

Comply and obey

It’s all predictive

What only last year

Did seem so absurd

But now we are fated

As part of the herd

But from what’s coming

None are immune

A plan is in motion

And one to fine tune

Because it’s not certain

And not set in stone

They want us to feel

Hopeless and alone

It’s part of the plan

At first we were… (poetry)

At first we were

Cast well adrift

But in that chaos

I feel a shift

Of people turning

And talk to resist

The want to live

Not just to exist

But how do you fix

That which is now broke

To wade on through

The corrupt and woke

Some middle ground

A balance we need

But not while we’re

At the whim of greed

And those who feel

We shouldn’t be free

They treat us like

We’re property

And that’s where we have a problem

Fossil Friday – Eocene Period Fish

It’s been really exiting over the last few years to actually indulge in my passion for geology and fossils. This one was a gift a few birthdays ago and has pride of place in my collection. And funny enough being a herring type, reminds of a song we used to sing in primary school and I still remember the words, My Jolly Herring. Oddly I have sung it to myself a number of times over the years as I remember it being rather a, well, jolly song. Despite what happened to the herring.
